Eh. Maybe a little deraily, but not that much. It's usually somewhat more coherent(ly on-topic), though.

Apparently someone out there is trying to shanghai "ommer", if google is anything to go by.

Though so long as you're not the one doing the maintenance work, you mostly just make funny noises and faces at it for a few years, maybe dangle shiny things in front of 'em. Not much to it.

E: And by that point you'll probably have been able to spend enough time around the spawners to figure out both a general outline of behavior as well as pointed examples of what not to do, and go from there.

I mean. The thing is isp you seem to be falling into that trap of thinking it was maybe somehow better in the years before. TV, radio, print media. Same things, even fewer upsides or ability to crosscheck et al, so forth, so on. If we're more asleep at the wheel than usual it's not by much, and the ability to move things in other directions is considerably more of a thing.

It's just, y'know. It's easier to see just how much of a thing it is, nowadays, and there's less filter/memory loss involved.

Say, ferex, the critter you're giving the kick has a CP web address as a username (and yes, you can say no addresses as names and then you're going to be dealing with letter/symbol replacement instead of something easier to catch via automation). If the admin has traces of what they did and to who...

The lazy (and/or insane, if conversations are actually involved) person's existentialism, you seem to be saying >_>

Controller talk

Pretty much all new games that support controllers support 360 pads out of the box. It's what I and (probably) most other people who use a controller for PC gaming use.
It's also probably worth noting that if you've got joytokey (or something similar) pretty much any controller that works at all is pretty usable. Doubly worth noting if you play anything older that isn't as welcoming to the things.

I'm using some kind of cheapo blue... sabrent? After checking. Controller, more or less shaped like a PSX one. S'aight, wasn't particularly expensive, and what doesn't recognize it without any fiddling recognizes j2k without particular issue.

So while you might not need anything but a plug and play (via Xbox 360 or whatev'), if for whatever reason you need to use something else there is third party software that'll make it so your purchase/acquisition isn't a waste of money. Basically, would recommend going for price and comfort more than compatibility -- the latter doesn't take all that much effort to deal with if there's problems on its front.

Wow, looks like the internet free speech types will have a legitimate complaint for once.

Why do the admins even have the power to silently edit things... I guess if you're the CEO and you want to do it you can just ask someone to implement it :/  This is why professional PR is a thing.
It's... fairly obvious why? Being able to deal with infringing material is important (particularly on stuff as free ranging as reddit and its ilk), and sometimes doing it without bringing attention to the issue is as well. Can be abused, obviously enough, but that doesn't mean the tool itself is the problem.

Eh, not really. It's not that that difficult to have a point that you can go, "Close enough," then accept an incomplete or fuzzy answer and stop worrying about it until notable reason to start again shows up.

We can find out well enough to get by through experimentation, and work out something near enough to knowing to keep things moving, and that's all you really need when it comes down to it. If even that much.

Especially not in the ameripol thread, politics thread for the land of the washington memorial, contender for the largest strongest dong erected for a dead man.

... that said, if there was actual solid evidence -- something that only the furthest right of right-wing nutjobs could deny with a straight face -- of foreign hackers swinging states, I'm about 80% sure what you would see would be a lot of very, very pissed off conservatives, never mind the rest of the country. Do remember that for all they've been kinda' shrugging at trump fellating russia, the GOP is still the party of nationalist xenophobes. They can doublethink their way through a lot but they'll also flip and start screaming for very literal murder at the drop of the right sort of hat.

... who's that you aimed at? If it's at me, I'm not complaining at all at this point. Just expanding on what X said.

Lol sure. Good argument there, not even gonna detail why.
... detailing shouldn't be necessary. This whole tangent was started because someone (me) wouldn't have backed at 20 if they couldn't back at 16. They didn't lose $4 in this case, they kept from losing $16, or gained however much over the eventual sale that would have enticed me. And, y'know. I'm not exactly some kind of freak of nature, just someone on a tight enough budget the difference makes a difference. If you want break even points, it'd take a bit over a fifth (125) of that five hundred being in similar positions to completely offset the entire potential "loss" of that 2k from losing 500 instances of 4 bucks.

Don't have to run around shouting denouements

I agree, you won't get much done by telling people he married the princess and they lived happily ever after. :P

Sorry, I have nothing to add. I just thought that was a humourous typo.
... y'know, I'm just going to leave it. Can't seem to figure out what the actual word I was looking for there is, and it's too early to be dealing with this memory crap.

Not to paraphrase the article, but rather to prime the reader, I ask: Must everyone with an identity answer for the excesses of the few? What if that few work for what they see as the best interest of the identity?
Eh. They don't have to answer for those excesses, really, so long as they're actually just of the few. For all the extremes have been an issue the bigger issue has always been the rest of the folks that support and enable them. Y'ain't really gotta' speak up but maybe don't give them money and vote for 'em. Be leery about what they're supporting, that sort of thing. Don't have to run around shouting denouements, but keep that shit out yo' house as much as it's safe to do so.

As for the best interest thing, fuck that noise. Best interest isn't zero sum in regards to the stuff being talked about and never bloody has been. If those few see the situation as being so they're no longer working in your best interests even if they've deluded themselves into thinking they are. They've gone from someone sharing your identity to someone actively attacking it, at that point, and should be reacted to accordingly.

... thaaat said. Again, it's worth noting that turnout wise, the increase in dog whistling and outright whistling didn't really help much, exactly. Maybe helped depress things, but it didn't increase the voting share to particularly notable degrees. It's going to be an issue, particularly if the left-wing media keeps sucking the alt-right and co. off, too, but it's questionable if there's actually been much of a rise in it. So far as that front goes m'personally not really sure if there needs to be much change in direction. What we've been doing over the years seems to be workin', maybe not as quickly as'd be nice, but working. Reacting to this shit like some kind of jump scare instead of somethin' we've known was there the whole time might not be particularly wise.

I mean, the thing is is that it does look dramatic. Pants-shittingly dramatic. Just not from a particularly human standpoint.

You just gotta remember a massive boom in regards to geological timeframes can coincide with generations worth of a historical one.
