Does it count as violence if we just mind-control everyone else to have the same political opinions as us? I suppose you could advocate for that.
I don't want that, though. I just want journalistic integrity to come back, at least a little. Or show up at all, depending on how you interpret previous years. Either way.

We're supposed to be discussing kebabs, not politics, damnit.
Did you not see the reference to reporter kebabs, yoi?

well yes

that's because if we don't kick the can down the road

the road will suddenly increase in length by orders of magnitude

wereas if we kick the can a bit

we could fix the road up

and then be able to deal with the can when we get to it again

not that we'll fix the road but still

immigration non-haiku 2017

No, no, my friend. FTFE. Fuck the Fourth Estate. We might still be able to get something out of politics but there needs to <purged>

... I keep running into problems figuring out how to express proper courses of action there without tripping up on the forum guidelines against advocating for violence. Mostly because I'm not quite sure what's to be done that doesn't involve things that look suspiciously like impalement.

So... 1, 2, 3, nothing would change, they'd be paying more taxes they get little to nothing from, and the work they previously had either can't or won't be able to keep them hired. Um.

And yeah, what isp said. Longer processing time if nothing else, and there's no guarantee of that nothing else.

Maybe if the government would actually pay for it, but it's hard to see that as particularly likely, particularly under GOP majority.

Going rate in fees is something like $600 per person, IIRC.
... now here's a question. What's the cost for deportation?

8871
Maybe, but it literally can't be to the USCIS. They're congressionally mandated to self-fund :V

8872
Hell... can they accept donations? Some kind of charity effort that funnels cash in might be a possibility. Alternatively one that funnels cash through a special class of immigrant that is given millions/billions of dollars and has immigration fees of similar girth.

Maybe a month. Two would probably be quite a bad idea, considering january is when trump actually gets in office. After that, depending on how things go, there might not be any getting off the ride for a while.

Wierd. Buddy. At what point I have I said the problem is not perception? I'm pretty sure I have been repeatedly harping on the fact that that is the exact problem.

And no, it does. It strips off truth that's contrary to the narrative, and exaggerates the ones that aren't. Her voting record is one of the most left leaning we have. Her history on stances have been one of the more solid among politicians, and largely only changed nuance or implementation, usually in the face of reasons to do so and even then it has been constantly moving left. Some people did report that. Some folks bothered to check, actually see what kind of picture was painted by something besides the incessantly repeated refrains. Did we hear about that on the news? On anything major? With any repetition? Over any notable amount of time? No? No. FTFE.

8875
I didn't say it was, smj.

8876
Hi. Hello. You are repeating media narrative. Even high info voters are not immune to constantly hearing the same bloody thing over and over and over.

8877
Wierd, like for goddamn real, we have been doing shit like that for decades. Generations. Even as the GOP steadily worked to make it harder or impossible. That doesn't work.

Really now? The areas I see never even get a mention in the press about infrastructure out here in the sticks, except to complain how much it will cost, and that inner city systemic problems are lower hanging fruit.
I know the press never says a goddamn thing about it! It's a good chunk of the reason I would be entirely unbothered if most of it caught fire and died right now. They also don't say a damn thing about where most of the opposition to it is coming from, either, or who's been the major roadblocks to getting those low hanging fruit out of the way and redirecting efforts from keeping those from going to complete hell to other things.

8878
I don't get why the media heavily concentrate on why people voted trump when they need to ask why people didn't vote for clinton. the real reason for trump's election isn't his overwhelming success due to an awakening of dormant racist or economical deprived sentiments, it's clinton overwhelming defeat.
Hahaha, I can tell you why the media is doing that. Because probably a good three quarters or better of the reason is them. FTFE.

I'm not sure I'm ready for the world's first survocracy, rule by survey makers.
