Fair heads up RK (or whoever), google at the least lets you filter by date -- an easy trick when you're looking for older stuff on something that just blew up is to set the to date to a few months/years back and leave the from blank. It'll pull up everything before that date, which makes it was lot easier to find something currently being buried in identical news stories or blog spam or whatev'.

And I'm not sure emu have actually respected anyone, ever...
They're basically giant chickens. Like chickens, they're incapable of any emotion except hunger and hate.

TFW all this fucking poetry stuff doesn't make a single piece of sense to me because Polish language is so snowflakey that we apparently don't obide by the same rules as everyone else.
That or English is the cucked language.
It's more like all the other languages are, really.

Eh, I'm not. Presumably there's non-awful redneck towns, too. And by presumably I mean I've been to some. Tend to be what amounts to art enclaves of one sort or another my general region. Pretty nice places, particularly comparatively. Generally fairly welcoming to outsiders, and not in the "only if you don't stay too long and happen to be in the "right" demographics" sense.

Plenty of plenty awful ones, though. Having lived in these damned places all my life I can't actually blame folks to much for having a poor opinion of the joints. Living in them could probably make it worse.

I mean. By dint of it being daytime drama/soap opera, that'd still arguably not be wrong. The exact language is irrelevant, though. Just that you've ended up so desperate you're resorting to subbed/dubbed soaps from a language you don't understand. As mentioned, at that point the barrel has been reduced to monatomic glitter and you're showing up on nearby seismographs.

... most of the posts that have been related to that since it came up have been pretty vitriolic, yes. Hasn't really been anyone trying to defend it, particularly via bullshit, though, which is what would have set M off. Guy didn't just vomit saline into a vacuum, most of the time.

9232
Ah, nah, was replying to desc, just didn't get around to putting out the effort to quote and whatnot.

Fair amount of bias though, yeah. Like said, it's been a slow-ish (or at least samey) day or three.

9233
Eh... thing was, it wasn't just salt. M was aggressive and you could see the patience (what there was) for a lot of the bullshit our political cycles output deteriorating over the years, but there was more going on there, by a fair amount. Investment, concern for the actual system and its outcomes, that sort of thing. Kinda' pointless to contemplate it too much at this point, though, so whatever.

It's just been a slow day or two, mostly. From what I understand the next (last?) shoe's intended to be dropped on trump sometime this weekend.

Though yeah, it's fairly likely there'll be less of the sort of analysis and explanation mainiac did. There's only a few folks that loiter around that're willing to on the subjects he tended to go off on, and they generally don't have nearly the time or energy to put out the same sort of material, or the degree of exposure to/investment into the political scene.

Ten, fifteen years ago I might have tried to make up for the slack, heh. Don't nearly have the energy for it these days. Or the cognitive clarity.

The Democrat politicians are equally dishonest, you know. The Republicans just tend to be more openly crazy. Both are still two sides of the same bloated and dying eagle.
No. No, they're not. There is nothing equal about it. Not even anything goddamn partisan about it, the republicans have been lying more and more blatantly for a while now. Particularly during this particular election, but it's been a increasing trend over the last handful of years.

Seems like it's not.

Also I'm not sure if I regret the last three minutes. Probably would have been better with the sound on, but...

It was definitely on youtube, if nothing else. I'm like 60% certain GC or owlga or someone actually posted a link to the originating video at some point.

If you want to know more, all you have to do is touhou. Not necessarily play the games, mind. But experience the touhou in itself.

Specifically, set yourself on a quest to seek the hell crow. Enlightenment will follow.

Delayed posting, but. Little bit ago, either something crawled down the far wall of my room that had a leg span roughly equivalent to my head, or. I hallucinated something with a leg span roughly equivalent to my head crawling down the far wall of my room. Didn't have a light close enough to me to really tell what it was, which just makes it worse.

Currently undecided as to which is more disconcerting. Leaning towards the former just because we... don't have much in florida that reaches that size, particularly that are inclined towards crawling around inside a house. Also there's not really anywhere in the room I'm aware of that something that size could even get in through, save maybe the AC vent.

Either way there's either something in here that could comfortably audition as an extra in an Aliens movie, or I'm starting to see things what aren't there more overtly than the normal static. This is not terribly conducive to my paranoia levels.

... as for the ear thing. Perhaps consult Dr. Doctor, instead of Dr. Google. Dr. Google doesn't actually have a license to practice in most countries. Usually a good idea when blood is actually emitting from various orifices. Alternately get a mirror and see if you can see something, or ask someone nearby to check. Then possibly go to the doctor.

E: On the flip side, if it is a ohgodfire sized bug, I can hit it with things until it stops being a coherent entity. If it's hallucination the it in this scenario is my brain. I don't want to slam a maglight into my brainmeats until they cease to be a roughly contiguous organ.

For what it's worth, it's looking more like the problem is the fuckwits comey sent the letter to, maybe the folks in the RNC et al they passed word to. Could probably argue that if there's anything that's the fault of the news it's trusting a republican politician during this election cycle to not be a lying piece of shit. Apparently the closer we get to election day the less that becomes an even remotely reasonable assumption.

E: Though it does look like the number of emails I noted above may have been in error. Still stuff that was handed over by clinton, but possibly not exactly three.
