It's okay mate, we could bring politicians into this mess, too,* among all sorts of other things. Iirc there was a slash snippet actually published in either the Washington Post or huffpo within the last week or two. Forget who it was between, though.

In any case, matchmaking implies some sort of effort, y'know? That's not quite anathema to shipping but it's close.

*Or not. Not would probably be better, considering.

Slang term inherited from fanfiction for pairing (or more) characters or people together. Generally in romantic and/or sexual relationships.

Underpants are as optional as the lasciviousness of the scenario proposed. Details on said lack or lack thereof are not for bay 12, though. Forum guidelines and whatnot.

And you can totally ship real people, rol. Wrestling and band related stuff has more fanfiction than I care to contemplate at the moment, just as an example.

No. No shipping the posters. Can't recall if anyone got banned but there was definitely mutes and thread locks. Best to leave it to the depths of the mind and darkest PMs.

Also I have no sodding clue how this thing got posted part way through typing it. Didn't even touch the post button, and this is a kindle. No enter or tab or whathaveyou to press to accidentally end up on the posty button.

... any idea why? Is that because of the ACA or just whoever you're buying it from/whatever insurance you're using being the normal sort of jackass? Because the latter hasn't exactly stopped with the ACA coming in. Just got slowed down, to a degree.
More healthcare cost more money, basically.  Get all those people who had what was previously bronze or sub-bronze coverage into silver plans and the costs go up.
Question was more intended towards whether there was something unusual for SG's situation or specific to the ACA. Instead of knock-on effects, or, well. Normal stuff. Like what you and MSH mentioned, heh.

... closest thread to it. Not really terror but definitely a degree of apprehension. Going to give a go at installing long, long overdue system updates (I... may still be using vista's SP1, at the moment). The last time I tried this rollbacks got involved. Hopefully it will go better this time :-\

Yeah, echo that. Stay as safe as possible, ak.

800x600 is a good baseline, yeah. 640x480 or smaller if you really want to be sure/kinder to folks reading on a mobile device. And people like me who browse zoomed in a bit.

... it was the setting/premise I was talking about, yes. Resource limitations, old MS... when I think that, my first thought is Turn A.

Which is probably a little odd considering I've still not watched a single episode of the thing. Blame SRW, I guess. And less official fanfiction, heh.

Communication styles definitely have a general lean towards hinting at age, yes, and it's fairly easy to come off as older/younger than you actually are. Happens in meatspace pretty easily, too, though that's got the physical bits added to it obviously enough.

No clue why it bothers you, though. Maybe you've internalized that whole younger=dumber thing or somethin'.

Huh. Re: The spoiler, doesn't that... sound a lot like Turn A? Or is it just me?

Pen and paper isn't exactly much safer, mart. In any case, most of the reason so far as I'm aware is more or less just time. Your over there is a metric humpton smaller and more compact, heh. Beyond that there's been general digitalization movement for the government for a while now, aiming to cut down on costs and errors (in paperwork, etc.). Last I checked it's been doing a decent job of it, too, though there's still a long way to go.

Amusingly enough, about two seconds on google will note that soros doesn't appear to be supplying any voting machines for the 2016 election, and apparently never had meaningful stake in the company that people tried to bugger into being a connection to him :P

Actual problem just seems to be somewhat shoddy maintenance and old machines. Probably not surprising considering about half our political machine is basically running on the platform of making the government work worse. Add on the normal shafting given to the budget when the republians have much of any connection to it, and, well...

I'm... pretty sure you'd still have to lead? Unless the shooting plane's directly behind the other one. Could be the point, I guess.
