Early voting has started in NC, and people are waiting up to 4 hours (mostly in minority neighborhoods), despite (or perhaps because of) Republican attempts to curtail early voting. I'm hoping this presages a resounding electoral defeat for the Republicans in just 16 days' time.
Early voting in general is looking rather terrible for republicans at the moment, actually. There's been a few charts and whatnot released of current data. More than a few are showing sign of either drastically increased dem turnout, notably decreased republican turnout, or some combination of the two.

Like, we're talking if patterns hold and they're roughly indicative of vote day trends, we may be looking forward to something of a drubbing.

Yeah, quick check seems to show it's not in NY, either. Looks like there might be some sort of leniency (or at least insurance is more likely to cover it) for a single annual one, but everything I skimmed over talked about insurance, which means it's probably got cost for the patient.

Not in florida it isn't. Think some programs/insurance (and occasionally schools or whatever will foot one) covers it just fine but if you don't got that it has a pricetag.

Eh, yeah, the real-life caveat probably should have been added.

... yeah, regardless of your opinion or the appropriateness, suggesting violence is actually explicitly against the forum ToS. This ain't the place for that sort of problem resolution.

Definitely not. It wasn't any of the major/notable ones, by any means. Plus double checking shows FB's characters look entirely too human to be what I'm forgetting the name of. The main character kinda' has the eyes, but the one I'm thinking of had just about everything short of actually being non-human, and the affliction hit more or less everyone, not any particular gender. It was the damnedest thing. I am completely non-joking when I say it looked like it could have been set in innsmouth instead of japan.

Yeah, it's well flapped its way beyond anything region centered. Did quite a long time ago, actually. Not even entirely religion locked anymore, either, so far as I'm aware.

Unfortunately the beautiful day in daytona beach thing breaks the immersion.

You live in Daytonia Beach? Don't see how it breaks the immersion though.
Nah. I've been to most parts of the state at one point or another, though, even if only briefly. The only place worse than north florida, weather wise, is everything south of it.

Sharing cat .gifs wouldn't be implausible. Which is nice. One of the few upsides of this election.

There's notable flaws in all of it, right down to the fact the wrong kind of footage was being fed into the program :P

So the technology's too crude to really mean much, but this is pretty neat regardless. Some folks ran the presidential debates through a program designed to evaluate emotion based on facial expression. The results are kinda' interesting, even if the conditions and sophistication of the software means it's probably not accurate enough to really get much out of it.

The answer to all those questions is yes, IO. To an extent, the exact subject is effectively irrelevant. Only the suffering involved in the experience. The reader or the audience? In the ideal scenario, both. But, as with cats, either is fine.

Though now I wish I could remember the name of that (romance/shoujo, I think) manga that was drawn such that the characters looked like deep ones. It's been a lot of years since I've remembered seeing that. Want to say I even mentioned it on the forum at some point...

Anyone on the forums from Louisiana? Their upcoming televised Senate contest debate just got a whole lot more interesting:

Damnit, marginally colder other swamp. This shit is a fraction of the reason no one likes us.

Though nah, visited a few times (roughly within day trip range of new orleans, iirc, though the last time I was there was before it sunk), but not from it.

Though interestingly enough, duke's apparently recently tweeted he's a fan of assanage and wikileaks. Just throwing that out there >_>

Nah, the major/minor thing isn't a full on adult VN. I checked, heh. Intended for older teens/younger adults (so much of the character art is fairly suggestive), but nothing more than that.

Though yeah, there's a very comfortable assumption to be made that a porn VN is likely to be lower quality than other sorts. There's more than a couple that are well done anyway, but quite a lot of them are just kinda' churned out. The story's an excuse rather than a feature, basically, and it is actually fairly okay to otherwise toss out quality, from a sales standpoint. The primary markets are fairly blasé about quality so long as their quarries safely manage to export, and the developers/publishers are well aware of that.

In any case, if you're interested in the stuff there's been a few threads pop up on GD and OG, as well as occasionally coming up in the anime thread. Can find some pretty good recommendations in 'em.
