... man, how bad a day did that customer service person have if they sounded that relieved at basic politeness? For what appeared to be the grand effort of just... not yelling at them, and such. It felt like I called in to someone that had been dealing with some serious shit :-\

All the scenarios where superintelligent AI kills all humans usually requires that it finds/knows a way to do this without significant effort. But how realistic is that? Extincting a specific pest is incredibly difficult for humans and requires a giant effort.
Back a bit, but... the latter is incredibly difficult for humans and requires a giant effort because we still more or less require the same environment to live, and need it to mostly be there when the pest is gone. We could probably wipe out, say, mosquitoes relatively easily at this point, ferex (tailored diseases, genetic muckery, etc.), but we don't because of the various knock-on effects (biosphere disruption, potential mutation in diseases or whatev') aren't worth anything involved with it. Unfortunately, most of the knock-on effects of wiping out humanity are, uh. Pretty positive. Particularly if you can still use our infrastructure and accumulated knowledge without actually needing the fleshsacks walking around crapping on everything >_>

It's good to see our republican politicians are holding up to the standard of integrity they've been cultivating this campaign cycle, at least.

Ah, umi. Probably not the best idea to link that one. Porn, forum TOS, etc., etc.

Presumably when it stops needing a pilot of some sort.

"Robots should not be designed solely or primarily to kill or harm humans."

Welp. So much for those guidelines :V

Guess it's possible, but I kinda' doubt it. Not terribly many folks tend to end up immortal in those things. Usually rather the opposite.

I've had soup like that, iirc. It was pretty mediocre but it was edible.

Well, glad that it is if it ends up being good. Or at least decent. Sometimes we're not actually glad when a sequel happens.

Hey now. Fire wouldn't be the way to do it. Lotta' that state is damn beautiful, letting it burn would be a waste of good countryside. You want a plague or somethin' instead. Problem with georgia is what's shacking in it, not the rest of the joint.

And I've got family in georgia. This is a relayed message straight from the source :V

... though in practice it's a somewhat cooler, mildly less swampy (i.e. better) florida with somewhat more inbreeding and... atlanta. Considering that, I suppose fire is as good an option as any. I'll take just about any port available if it means getting rid of atlanta's roadways and the consequences won't deep six my house. The rest of the city can stay, but anything that can fit a human controllable vehicle on it needs to go.

You reminded 'em of berserk (and by extension the hiatus), that's what. You were punished consummately.

A fairly shitty flash based pseudo-mmorpg. One of the earlier ones, which made it relatively popular/influential due largely to lack of other options. There's definitely a number of mobile games that have similar combat systems, if nothing else. Skim through the google playstore's RPG stuff for who knows how many of similar construction. Been long enough since I last played the thing that I can't recall much of every other aspect of it, heh.

Can't recommend any, though. "Looked like AQ" (if not with the specific comparison, since it's been years since AQ was much to me besides the occasional annoying banner ad) was something on the short list to skip that game and go look for something else.

Eh, that one was de-facto. As a goddess with prostitutes in your portfolio several of the major religions already considered you one since other divinities can't exist and all that claim to be are demons or mad.

It... seems a lot more like their strategy (such as it is) is getting in the way of their own (increasingly dissonant/incoherent) idealism, really. Stein has been kinda' off lately.
