Evocations is a pretty mediocre skill under normal circumstances (so no related gods, nothing particularly weird about the loot you get).  It mainly functions to provide heavy armor characters with a form of special ability that doesn't care how encumbered they are (much like invocation).  Its pretty safe to either ignore it or use it as you please, except that most characters won't want it to be their first or even second priority for training.
Really? I've always found taking a few levels of evocations (Not a full-on focus, granted) really helps to shore up your abilities. Though the status wands never seem to be reliable enough to bother with :\

Cin's been focusing on improving her art (And hun, it was fine to begin with :P) before resuming Descent. Though, she's been getting more confident, so we may see it finally resume before too long!

Yeah...I don't hate the name Damnation but it doesn't sound as strong as Hellfire. Maybe something regarding brimstone (Brimstone bolt/beam or the like, maybe)? In any case, yeah, Hellfire is rather confusing to new players

Thunder roared. Lightning strikes in between the two, stopping the advance of the Witch, and leaving her vision dazzled--if she has mortal eyes. "Final seal of the World's Sentinel." We almost whisper these words, though they carry unnaturally well over the peal of thunder and whisper of rain. We begin to stalk forward, retaining our defensive stance, trying to keep our back to the vast tree.

We listen to the roar of the thunder, the whisper of the tree's leaves, the droning of the rain...We fall into a stance, low and defensive, because our body is not our true strength; the Witch, as a being beyond this world, would fall to your mastery of it. We wait for her to strike and retaliate with Earth's fury.

Posting to watch.
Should we post a starting action, or just line up to be chosen?

Working on a simple little HTML5 game (In GDevelop, so it's nothing terribly hard to do either :P), and I recently got a very basic prototype working! It's nothing impressive, but the basic concept of the game is you're encouraged to finish levels as fast as possible, with top-down racing controls (No strafing, free rotation, no gravity, etc), and no real limit on how fast you can accelerate--but you can't slow down. Yet to make any proper levels or include enemies, but I've implemented dying, respawning, and the controls so far. Making an exit will be simple enough and that's when I can start assembling proof-of-concept levels, before implementing more dynamic mechanics (moving blocks, enemies, etc)

Dissolution worships the "Slime God", not necessarily Jivya, and was definitely the prophet of some other god presumably for another pantheon. It could be argued that Dissolution doesn't worship Jivya and instead worships another god who doesn't have a stake in the dungeon.

Is that what that's about? I always just kind of took it as granted, not as being 'corrupted'.

You fall, for what seems like ages, and slam into the ground skewering yourself on the quote pyramid. Despite the massive height, you find yourself unharmed; it appears that your body hadn't fully formed, or else gravity is much more forgiving this time. You begin standing up, before something hard and metal strikes you! Looking up, you see one of those damnable Automatons, the law-giving body in each incarnation of the City. Looks like it trod on you while it was making its rounds--evidently not illegal this time around. You wonder which laws will be enforced this time, as experimentation is the only known way to verify what the Automatons will do.

Brushing yourself off and rising from the ground, you glance around. The surging crowd seems to be struggling against each other, as people try to force their way past their fellows, all desperate to find any scrap of their former life. Presumably, many of them are first-incarnations; the older populace would know the futility of it.

With a shiver, you notice a Fragment watching you, the eerie shifting, flat noise becoming almost painful to look at for more than a second or two. You clutch the mundane symbol of your False God. You're just glad that you weren't made into one of them...

Rev nowadays still has those people who literally run around wordlessly offering them to join the revolution, particularily while they're talking so they autoaccept when they press enter.
Note that if someone does something like this, we'll probably unrev you and deal with the spamrev.

Not sure, but this is DCSS. The fluff behind things tend to be second to the mechanics--and mechanically, it's mostly identical. The real sticking point would be artwork.

What do you mean, 'too late to rework it'? It's still in Trunk, reworking it is exactly the reason why it's there :P
