I don't think kobolds show up pre embark, but if they steal enough crap then they'll have an ambush similar to the goblin ones.

So my Grand Master Metal crafter grabbed a forge and he's shouting for body parts, what does he need? i've got lots of bodyparts around the fort but he's not picking any, any help?
