Punch her playfully in the shoulder.  Then let's be off.
Use sense magic on Tora to check how strong she is compared to us.

Do both.

I feel like this is the right spot to make an "over 9000" crack

We need to learn how to summon our Stand sometime too.

maybe still give them a basic, but weaker magic attack, to make up for them not needing weapons?
Their abilities are their attacks. I mean sure, I guess they could shoot out something very weak, but it would be just like a 1d4 damage with no modifier or something.

198
Wait, you don't get a basic magic attack?

Shit, I may need to go rejig Alistair's Hope gain, I assumed he'd have magical attacks to be able to gain Hope meanwhile. :P
Hell yeah, that's another thing I'm changing. Casters don't get to double as fighters anymore, you have abilities so ya better use them. You can still attack with a physical attack though, but otherwise, physical-oriented characters get to take that spotlight.

Hm. Posting to watch.

I can theoretically make a sheet without knowing shit about any of the previous games, right?

Oh, btw, finished the sheet. Tell me what needs balancing, fixing etc.

And, uh, do we get a basic attack?
Will look at it soon, currently tired. And yeah, you get a basic attack, but only with your weapon (or fists). Otherwise, you need to use your abilities to deal damage because you're a caster.

So, does anyone have any ideas for a character that I could use? I could try Tori for a third time but she doesn't fit this setting, and I'm not sure I want to use my character from v3.
there's a mana system
What about it? You mean make a character who uses it in different ways than normal, or something else?
idk, something that involves it maybe. Give mana, take mana, be an antimage, etc.

"I'm pretty sure you aren't allowed to have wine in the courtroom."
"Unless that's blood. I say we fine Mr. Zieks for possession of alcohol in a Court of Law."

Sword of Recompense nerfed, though he only gets a counterattack every 2-3 turns currently.
You're good then, unless I notice something else.

205
...Didn't the universe get blown up in the previous continuity or something? Tentatively reserving a slot, but yeah.

Also, technically this is RotMG5, but uh, we don't talk about 4.

Sheet, or at least the first draft, is done. PMing the other details I wanted to mention to you now.

@USEC: Touhou character who has the power to manipulate boundaries. SHe's just as overpowered as she sounds, to which I quote:
Quote from: Perfect Memento in Strict Sense
...Among the abilities youkai are known to possess, this is one of the most dangerous, being comparable even to the power of gods... In any case, there is neither any sort of defense against nor weak point in the ability to manipulate boundaries.
Abilities are fair and balanced, though I think a -5 damage reduction to Sword of Recompense is needed if he can counterattack that often, since it's a pretty good ability at 1st level.

206
PTW. I'll come up with a cool character concept... eventually.

Any suggestions on what kind of character to make? I'm leaning towards melee-bruiser/tank at the moment, but will gladly take any input that people might have.
Generally, something we currently do not have seems like a good idea. Elf's character seems like a good overall support, and I have a feeling Akroma's character might be a DPS.

207
Can we please try to keep calm and not get salty while the character is still being made.
;-;
sori

Also, I changed the calculations on Alistair's Hope-based abilities. Gah. I'm bad at balancing shit. ;-;
Yeah that's fine, but you're telling me basic rolls everytime you use it (^:. As in you do the math and I just roll the dice.

WIP. I only have my abilities to do, but I'm going on a 5 day trip as of right now. Rip.
You better add more to that description, boy. A picture doesn't tell me what she sounds like, what her weaknesses and strengths are, her personality, etc.
Magnums are 1d6+[1/2 DEX] per magnum, with 1d4 fire damage.

208
I'm not sure it's a matter of fluff. I think it's more a matter of balance.

Also, when are character sheets due?
When people are finished. My time is flexible.

Okay, so how would you do it?
By not completely negating your weaknesses with minmaxing? Seriously, your new passive pretty much states "i can have 20 spellpoints of spells that arent related to my character, but with better stuff on top of that".
I will be blunt here in saying that you are probably not going to get into the actual game anyways, no matter what the character. From my experiences with you previously I would rather have other people.

209
I don't really get what you mean by 'other magic'.  Like, what magic would Anders be using to begin with?  Because he's using SOME magic apparently.
Whatever the outcome, my other points still remain. If he's supernaturally smart, he can't really just magically infuse something with fire or something.
But the point is, he's using super smartness and wizard skills to figure out how to do stuff like infuse things with fire.

How does this sound?
Using Anders' passive to allow him to reverse-engineer magic (and apply it to items?):

Level 20 Analysis:Anders reverse-engineers one spell cast up to two turns ago.  He can either immediately re-cast it, at 1 level less than its original power, or, after the end of the battle, add it to his Known Spells List.

The Known Spells List: Anders' phenomenal intellect allows him to, while out of combat, look through all the magic he has studied and select some of it to prepare for the next battle.  He can prepare up to [INT](20) levels' worth of spells with a downtime of 30 minutes in which no strenuous intellectual activity occurs (i.e. talking is okay, cryptography not so much).  He may alternatively swap out [level] worth of spells in [2*level] minutes to a maximum of five levels, even while in combat.
The casting stat for all Known Spells List spells is INT, regardless of what it was previously.

Also, so that he doesn't just make a level-20 spell and cast it twice to omnimurderdoom everything, I have an idea that if the spell is higher level than his WIL, he needs an extra turn per some fraction of levels.
It's.. still the same issue. Knowing 20 spellpoints of other people's spells still means that he is a jack of all trades who is good at everything.

No, only 1 stack. It overrides the default .5 gain.
Ah, alright.
