So what skills then, Unleashed Power and Fierceness of Living?
Boundless Life, Unleashed Power, and Fierceness of Living. The effects are fine, but the numbers are too complex. One option is to just have the hope stacks give a flat modifier (ie, HOPE*2 addition to spell damage or w/e, instead of percentages and other shit).
Also, wouldnt Carbuncle Flash give 1.5 stacks since you're also damaging someone?

I don't really get what you mean by 'other magic'.  Like, what magic would Anders be using to begin with?  Because he's using SOME magic apparently.
Whatever the outcome, my other points still remain. If he's supernaturally smart, he can't really just magically infuse something with fire or something.

And yeah, I want people to have in-depth, well-written characters instead of half-assed sheets. Shows people's interest and it really helps to bring out the best ones to my attention. If you just write a few sentences, I am probably not going to be accepting you.
I mean, I tried my best, but that's probably not enough.
Nah your sheet is pretty decent. I just hope that everyone knows they aren't guaranteed to get in. One problem we had last game was having a shit ton of people with a shit ton of characters.

Also, what's wrong with Carbuncle Flash and Preservation? You approved them as the exact same moves last time (they were Rouge Flash and Carbuncle's Light).
Those two moves are fine, I'm just over exaggerating. This ain't LoL

I rejigged Alistair's skills quite a bit, to make him closer to what I'd intended. I also altered Alistair's backstory a little because apparently the Northsdale Five (Kyle excepted and Alucard) are only presumed, not confirmed dead.
Sorry but I'm saying no to literally all those abilities, unless you find a way to make them a LOT more simple. You can still use the 'hope stacks' thing, but not all this 12.5% shit. It's supposed to be a simple system.
As a general rule of thumb, I hate percentages and multipliers. Flat numbers are life.

No, no, he's just naturally a genius who turned his skillset to studying magic.  Like, how it works.  He might have a glimmer of talent on his own, but basically, he's using knowledge as a force-multiplier.

Have you read the Dresden Files?  There's an example of what I'm thinking about after {Book...Um, 7 or 8?  I think spoilers:Harry comes back from the dead, where Butters is using Bob's knowledge and a bit of power to make lots of magical gear.}
Which is pretty much using other magic. Even then, my other points remain.

*shrug*

A'ight, I'll kill it.

Why couldn't he have enchanted it?
Why would a guy who's ability is supernatural intelligence have the ability to enchant things with stuff that does not involve his magic?

218
Just, draining magic.  That's the entire point, it uses up all the magic.

Also, please review the stuff I just edited in for balance, please.
I'm going to have to say no to the suit for many different reasons:
- I am heavily reluctant on allowing a level 20 ability, as this seems to be the epitome of minmaxing.
- It seems make him a munchkin, as it seems capable of pretty much negating his weaknsesses by allowing him other magics and equipments.
- The numbers are extremely complicated and unnecessary in a system that is meant to be simply and easy to grasp.
- Is not really explained that well, saying it can copy spells and have free telepathy despite not really explaining how it does it; Anders could not have enchanted it since he does not use that type of magic.
- It is a jack of all trades; telepathy, spell-stealing, stat raising, shields, healing, flight, etc.
I do not want to have to deal with all these numbers and functions in a god-like suit that is minmaxed in by abusing the system for a level 20 ability.

In addition, your backstory is a lot lacking and is not even a few sentences, same with your description. Your sheet is also, compared with the text wall that is your denied power suit, an extreme eyesore.
It is really hard for me to even consider this character at its current state.

WIP
Excellent backstory and description; this is the standard I want everyone to achieve with their character. Now to take it apart:
Void Hater - A straight half damage is too powerful; I recommend making it just a flat damage resistance to make it less complicated, such as say 5 damage negated from void attacks.
Protected Bulwark - Too much shield and too complicated math; change it to perhaps a straight [Level*2+WILL] shield.
Power Bond - Too powerful for a level 1 active; change it to say, WILL/2 boost.

Anima's staff may deal 1d4 melee damage and give +1 to spell effect.
Also, if you have all this complex shit like 1d6+ability score*1.5+will please put the straight number you currently have on your sheet to save me the time. I'll eventually have a cheatsheet made with everyone's stats and shit to make it easier on GMs.
Also, calculate your health and put it below the stats header, above your actual stats. Mana is to be calculated with INT*2, so put that below your HP as well.
Keep in mind people, level 1 abilities are supposed to suck.

I don't really like blatantly ripped content since it is not really original; I know you told me you were doing a cowboy, but try to keep it original.

Remove the extra attack in Duelist since it's a level one ability.
"10% chance of a crit with damage equal to 1.1/2 Ray's dex" What do you mean by 1.1/2 Ray's dex?

Revolver damage is 1d8+DEX

Also, format your sheet please. It's an eyesore to read when nothing is bolded.

Greetings all.

Probably some of these abilities are a bit broken.
Where did Gerald grow up, and what police force did he join?

Make Stand Down just the difference instead of twice the difference, because removing someone from the battle temporarily seems strong. I may look for other ways to nerf this too; and by remove the battle, I assume you mean pretty much stun? (unless it literally teleports them out of the battle somehow).

So Shocking Blow has a higher percent chance to proc with each attack, with damage? Meaning that if you deal 8 damage to someone, the chance rises by 8% and gets reset when it procs?

The Expandable Baton will deal 1d6+STR dmg, and is capable of delivering non-lethal damage.

How heavy is the Peacekeeper apparel, or is it just clothes?

Hm. Posting to watch.

I can theoretically make a sheet without knowing shit about any of the previous games, right?
Yeah, sure. A lot of people here can answer questions about lore and other shit about the previous games, too.

So, the concept of a device that uses magic to tie up all available magic in the area.  Y/N?
Elaborate.
So, a device, it uses one part of the spell to turn itself really fast, and the other part to hold itself together while it's doing that.
What would it be used for?

In addition everyone, please include in your backstory how they came to be in Camp Cinder, the France refugee camp. An American would not just suddenly be in a refugee camp in France unless there is a reason why.

220
-snip-
Just a straight chance to crit, and it might last multiple turns.
So, would it be a Casted ability instead of Passive?
Ah, if it's passive, it has no duration then.

Hey, let's join on of these for once. New experiences, and all that.

For Quartz Eyes, what do you mean by "(Gives a +[Ability Level] crit chance)"?
Change Reflective Lenses damage to 2d6+[LVL *1.5] damage.
Encouraging Words seems too strong. I recommend instead changing the bonus to +1 to all stats, and limit it to maybe 3 players.

Other than that, seems good.
Changed the things you said to change.

And for the crit chance, I was wondering about that. Do I just make it give her a Chance to Crit, or can I make it give her a Chance to Crit, and then buff it?
Just a straight chance to crit, and it might last multiple turns.

Well I meant in terms of stats and rolls and stuff mainly basically how complex is the game system.
Read OP.

Going to be sending a PM at some point tomorrow with more of Hibiki's details, but a yea/nay on what I have down now would be good.
Looks good.

So, does the character have to know that they're magical?
No, but you might be limited in terms of abilities.

Just how number intense  is this exactly? Considering applying.
6 players is the max, unless I REALLY want someone to play.

Also, hop on the discord server.

He wouldn't be able to do pyromancy suddenly without the gear for it, yeah.  A'ight.

Or maybe his lab was actually in the other country instead of France?  Because that makes more sense.
There are items and shit like scrolls too, so yeah. Anders can be the group support.
That's fine as well.

225
- question -
Yeah, that's fine; he may even have a more makeshift lab set up in the camp too. And while I heavily discourage minmaxing, I guess it's fine if he's literally just a supernaturally smart normal human like GWG's character (allah bless his banned soul). Just keep in mind that his abilities would be similar to his smarts; he wont be able to do pyromancy suddenly, but he may have abilities that make crafting easier or stuff that lets him repair shit in battle, etc. He would need to obtain the gear first, also.
