So yah, it's the first year and I have yet to build a trade depot. A dwarf caravan arrived and was like "Oh noes we can't trade with you D:". They waited at the corner of the map for a long time even after the message "The caravan has embarked on their journey." They still stood there. Eventually the merchant went berserk and a merchant sword dwarf killed him. Will the caravan come next year?

They are not in the military and they sleep some times right outside their room. And I recruited them and changed their settings and changed them back, same problem.

Every ranger or hunter immigrant I get never sleeps in his/her room! They always sleep outside or on the ground in the fort. I have friends that has this same problem as well. I've had this problem on 33b and 33a.

I just made a bunch of new leather gear for my small army, they put every thing on alright but they just threw their old clothing on the floor. I can't dump it or put it in storage.

I found out how to fix this... Press k on it and make it forbidden. Then un pause the game, then press k on it again and make it un forbidden. There you go.

After I killed a horde of monkeys attacking my fort I dumped all their bodies in the local river. But instead of the bodies sinking down to the next z level, they stayed floating on top of the river instead. PIC

One z level below.
 

What do yall think the problem is?

Well a unexperienced miner has a lesser chance of getting stone, I had a new miner clear a room with out getting any stone... But a legendary miner has almost a 100% of getting a stone drop.

I had this idea for quite a long time, a idea to fix the dreaded stone problem. If you don't know what I'm talking about I will explain. Every time you mine into rock wall you get rewarded with stone. Stone is a great thing, but when your fortress has stone lying every where, it gets quite annoying. To fix this problem we must not lessen the chance of getting stone, but to make 2 different types of digging.
These are...

d-d Conserve stone Mine: Same old mining that we known through out the ages. The miner conserves the stone when digging into a wall.

d-D Remove stone Mine: This form of mining will take longer to do but the miner will destroy the stone after he clears the wall.

If you need me to elaborate just ask. Otherwise, what do you think?

I want to put some glass into my golden statues but every time I click "encrust with gems" they always put it on my barrels. You should be able to choose what does and doesn't get encrusted.
