Both directions? You can't zoom in, and you can't zoom out?

1247
Pressing the middle button will reset the zoom to unity, unless your window is too small for that. Are you sure you started at unity?

1248
Oh, and of course you can zoom out manually to get whatever size window you want, right now.

Sort of intended behavior. I hadn't really counted on the case where it'd start up larger than the screen (which messes with the drivers, thus your black area), and it's supposed to do that resizing immediately. The days of explicitly stating your grid/window size are numbered.

Neither the horizontal nor vertical resolution are freely adjustable. To be specific, you can't resize it until to less than 80 tiles horizontal, or 25 vertical. So there's a lot more room for vertical compression.

The solution will probably be to compress (eg. zoom out) the tiles if you try, and check the resolution beforehand to ensure the window doesn't become too large.

Okay.

I'm going to upload a more chatty compile of the linux version, so anyone having trouble getting this to work, hold on until I've got that working. Then ask me for help, here or in #bay12games.

If you're not on Linux.. try installing Linux. Wubi is a nice, simple-to-install (and safe-to-install) version; see http://wubi-installer.org/

If the HD doesn't use a SATA connection, you can't hot-plug it. In that case, just be careful not to actually boot from it.

..all of which are proof of concept, and do not actually exist in the wild.

Did you run the scan from the same computer that may, in fact, be infected?

Just so you know, a lot of modern spyware will spoof those.

You can burn a bootable CD to run the scan, but.. the more sophisticated spyware will interfere with this too.

So burn it from another PC. Preferably running Linux.

I don't know... (Neither do I know the purpose of Lucky Star, nor Mirai Nikki.)

Personally I enjoyed the manga, and Visual Novel much more.

I actually like Lucky Star.
And K-On!.

I watched Pale Cocoon, I didn't really understand it that much.
It was still nice though.

Massive spoilers ahead if you haven't seen it:

I actually like Mirai Nikki, but the only reason why I can is that many of the characters do have redeeming features. Miss Uryuu, for example... well, she's on a crusade I can sort of agree with, so why not? :P

Also. See my avatar. :P

Needs citation.

Seriously, that sounds like it would lead to casualties in short order. Are you sure those are being used?

I believe he means terminators. Or the non-humanoid equivalent. :P

I don't agree about his timeline, but that's more because I think we'll have had a technological singularity by then. At least I hope so; I see way too many existential risks with nanotechnology.. well, AI too, but at least you only have to get that right once.

Then it achieved its purpose. I didn't like anyone, and soon quit watching in disgust.

But what was the purpose of that anime, then?

You can disable the disabling on a per-site basis, though.

As it seems unlikely that you'd want to enable scripting on a page that would actually pull that sort of trick, I don't see the problem. Yes, it's a bit of work, but.. well, it was a bit of work. These days, I've pretty much enabled everything I need to enable.

School days.. avoid it.

I can accept that someone would like it. They have to make their payments somehow, after all.

That said, it's probably one of the.. no, I'm not going to get started. Let's just say, I didn't enjoy it. It's like Higurashi, but without the mysteries, likable characters, interesting environment or originality..

Not original?  I doubt you'd find anything like it.
Lack of likable characters? I see you didn't get the point of the anime version.
No interesting environments? Could say that about Higurashi. I lived in a small town most of my life and I don't see any incredible differences.
I've lived in a city all my life, so there you go. :P

I agree that you won't find anything like it. As for the lack of likable characters.. are you arguing that there were any? Who? Was I supposed to like the protagonist?

Oh, and I can't believe I forgot this one:

The 2006 version of Kanon
