The mothership isn't the one low on fuel as much as his ship. It was damaged by the fall, and he spent years collecting enough energy to run it long enough to have the mothership tractor beam it. I might be off. He could have a deeper reason. It might involve his son. The way he looked at the corpse on level 4. It was like he knew the prawn there...

I don't care what people think. I'm an active believer in freedom of speech. If I say gay, faggot, homo or anything such then, take it in context. I have no hard feelings against people who find the same sex, both sexes attractive. I think everyone has right to feel how they want. But, when you actively tell me to stop talking how I want, I think you need to look at your ideals.

Yeah. The most notable reason for this theory, is he left the mothership in a ship designed to fit it in. He was separated from the start. He purposely collected technology. And he didn't eat rubber tires.

You could tell that Christopher was one of the scientists, and the rest of prawns were mores animalistic and followed orders. Noticed how he told the other prawn to be friendly - not give any reason to cause problems at the start? It's a semi-hivemind state. The normal prawns go about doing nothing complicated while Chris is an extremely intelligent one - he chooses to appear dumb.

It's an ingenious device to get women to wear underwear that can fall off at a moment's notice.

I wonder if it's like a Toadyone effect. He makes the slightest motions and 10's of famous fans at once feel compelled to express their love and like of Dwarf Fortress, Armok 1, or ToadyOne in general. However, if there is one thing they should recognize, is Toady worked on his games while working on a thesis. That's pretty damn impressive.

Scots like :
1.Drinking all the time
2.Complaining all the time *especially the nationalists
3.Violence

Dwarfs like
1.Drinking all the time
2.Complaining all the time
3.Violence

Scots like all of these.
Dwarfs like all of these.
Scots are Dwarfs.

General Discussion / Re: Old Good Movies (1970-1990)

Bah, it ain't really old unless you have it in black and white.  Heck, I've seen a few silent films that weren't so bad.  Still, some of my personal favorites that haven't been mentioned yet:

Arsenic and Old Lace
Sands of Iwo Jima
Errol Flin's stuff
Marks Brothers stuff (Those guys were absolutely brilliant)
Charlie Chaplin's stuff (I especially enjoy his spoof on the Nazis [made pre-WWII, when Hitler could be funny])

I'm sure to think up more.  80% of my non-Disney movie experience as a child came from the Turner Classic Movies station.

My school did an extremely decent rendition of Arsenic and Old lace for Theatre.

Yeah, I didn't feel like he was that epic of a troll.

No! Toady calls in the legion of indoctrinated fans who will risk heaven and hell to see 1.0. When they finally reach the computer, a miniature civilization has begun around it, a whole society were each person is represented by a dwarf and does what the game err God tells them to do.

Saw it. Did not like overly much. It was good and all, but I finally saw Transformers 2 right before it, so all the cool shit was kinda meh in comparison.

Well if you compare budgets, obviously the CG in Transformers is going to be much more amazing.

I felt like I was watching a bipolar schitzo describing to me the original plot due to the scriptments and multiple writers. Half the characters disappear. The movie loses key elements and gains new ones like a kid with ADHD in a candy shop that has samples. It becomes long winded.

Oh yeah, why doesn't the bad guy - WHO CAN TELEPORT not just TELEPORT and kill all the heroes when Optimus is dead? Logic fail.

But, this bipolar schitzo is also an artist, so it looks pretty damn good.

Wait- Did Picasso or Van Gogh write the script?

Blackbird was the only one that was teleporting, AFAIK, and he was with the good guys.

No, he teleported them all. I'm talking about the fallen, who would warp through space -seemingly teleporting.

McSurgeon withdraws from society.
He claims McPatient.
McSurgeon has created a marble peg leg, "The Dawn of Standing".

I'm more of binge troper. I don't pour myself a drink but when someone offers to pour me one, I can't say no. That is just an analogy. Accepting drinks from strangers is like playing, Who has the iocane with Cary Elwes? he's always wins.

Note to Doctors: Reading books to patients by Poe is wrong, especially when they decide to write a movie version and you get it made into film.
