So people know game is not dead just had lots of stuff to do for easter and three essays right after so post will happen this weekend hopefully.

((Or this weekend perhaps?))

"I haven't actually thought about that part yet..."

Think about that a bit. The procedure of sharing the mythscape step by step, shape of entire action, crystallized skill, but limited to just this one action. And since Yggdrasil has already rooted into his head it should be easy to share. Or alternatively a drink from Mímisbrunnr? Ooh, or better yet, the crystallized skill mixed with mead of poetry? That ought to do the trick!

((I did a mission synopsis. I'll work on a full summary, and shove the synopsis into the wiki when I get home.))
Spoiler: Mission 1 (click to show/hide)

(If I botched the count please tell me and I'll edit it)

Thank you. I moved mission summary over to the actual misison page and fixed formatting issues. Have a token for your work.

Bastien's eyebrow...lightly twitches as he messes with his blond hair giving a small huff.
Retrieve my damn gun. Go to Vr. Prepare combat simulation with me and my current equipment agasint the rest of my missions team except joanna they will be my medic and also be inexplicably attracted to me and constantly brag about how great I am
. I start in a fortified position with johana they start in a killing field with me having clear shots at them. All npcs start with previous mission equipment except joanna who is in a bikini but with the rest of her mission equipment.

It appears someone died very recently in the rec room. Judging by amount of blood they has some very serious wounds before expiring. There's also some guy you don't remember seeing before in corner worshipping his rifle.

The VR program makes a mistake while you enter simulation settings and so the situation ends with everybody against you. They shoot your lombs off and burn stumps with lasers and space magic. Almost like reality.

Go see if I can have one of citop's arms turned into a remote controlled puppet for me

Infirmary people straight out refuse. You better ask if R&D section has any bored people in need of personal pet project.

((Annnnd back to IC stuff))

Unaware of the somewhat disturbing simulation Bastien is attempting to set up, Joanna heads into a VR thingy and pokes around the programs. Any pre-set ones that seem interesting?

VR seems to have mostly games. Battle of Hexbarax, Punch Many Things, Poacher and Duel. Hexbarax and Poacher may offer you chance to play your profession straight, but you may also want to let it loose and just punch or shoot things.

Still accepting?

Always accepting. But by my count you can add one more point to skills. Hop in and mingle.

I'll make wiki page you anyways, so let me know where you put that one missing skill point.

Twice.

((Crap, I actually missed you.))

"Okay then, one full body prosthetic coming through."

When you wake up next time you are no longer the bundle of bones you were before, but a tall cyborg made of shining chrome bones and black muscles. The doctor taps you on shoulder smiling.

"When you come back here next time please be actually intact."

With things going like this? Probably until Toaster posts.

276
Works for me.
You just HAD to make use of your leading W's allready, don't you?

What? No, it was totally unintentional.

277
"I should be rewarded for my genius is all. With more tokens."

> If the job description was to kill and destroy then I would give you some extra. Try to do better next time.

Vik makes a clicking noise with his tongue before gathering up his tokens and the remains of hte hospital bed and citop.

Drag his corpse back to the infirmary, take the hospital gourney though, might use it later, also keep his arms and lower body. Also request if the doctors can install a shut down switch in case he gets violent again...take two of citop's tokens so I have 11 tokens, then go buy a laser rifle and exoskeleton.

"Dave, remind me I owe the dibshit two tokens."

The corpse doesn't oppose your loan application, so you secure funds for commercialism. Laser rifle obtained. Exoskeleton will be delivered to your locker before next mission.

You hand the corpse to infirmary personel.

"You are all already equipped with shock implants, but Dave is the one who handles the leash" one of the nurses responds.

You go harvest Citotp's remains and shove them all into your locker.

> Sure.

((Go ahead; next time Citotp is probably going to use the Amp.))

Some time later you wake up floating in a tube filled with liquid. You can feel anything below sternum and elbows. All that is there is bundles of various tubes and cables. You can barely see outside of the tube, but there appears to be few figures.

"You seem to be awake now. Look, I don't mind you visiting my infirmary so often, but would you try to stay alive and unhurt between visits? You should save violence for your missions." female voice speaks. "But let's focus on the matter on hand. A good portion of your body is gone, so would you like to have fullbody prosthetic or only replace missing parts? Blink twice for fullbody, thrice to keep what remains."

278
Works for me.

279
Ocean, I accidentally opened your spoiler - closed it immediately without reading it, but starting your spoiler with a "W" threw me off.

Same happened to me too. We of the Western team claim Capital W letter as our own. You eastern losers are not allowed to use it.

Lea looks around the room. From shelves near the table she finds two bottles of black ink and a dip pen with couple of pre-made nibs for it. Couple of carving knives, wooden bear, wolf and elk figurines along with some that are less normal, such as small fat bearded men and skulls. One chess set, where black parts and pieces are basically just burned and charred to archieve the color. Knitting needles hidden in the box of yarns. Flint and steel. Nothing particularly hidden, though, everything you find is more or less visible.

Take out a pen, and write "Lee Archer" on the next empty page. "Might as well leave a record."

You don't have a pen, but Lea found a more primitive model, so you use it to experimentally write your name into the book. Aside from accidental ink droplets it works pretty much as intented.

"Well, we're visiting this house, whether we wanted to or not, so the book may as well be ours. Perhaps we have amnesia, and our prior selves wrote notes to us, their future selves, knowing they would have amnesia?" Open book, and begin to read it.

All pages except the first one are empty. And the first page has only this text:

Harokem steps to the closest window and studies the levers a moment. They are both wooden, large and pulled all the way down. Their purpose is unknown, but there exists only one way to figure out! And that's boldly trying them. He tries to pull one up, but it doesn't move more that three millimeters perhaps. Without wasting more time with it, he tries the other one. This one he can pull all the way up without any problems. He moves it up and down a few times, but since nothing apparent happens, he leaves it up and tries the first lever again.

This time it moves, with little resistance. And wood planks covering the window moves together with the lever. It appears it's not mere planks covering the window, but actually rather sturdy looking wooden lid. It swings out as he moves the lever. Now that proper sunlight floods the room, he can make out a few more details. The walls of this house seem to be very thick, about as thick as grown man's forearm is long. The window cover panel is reinforced with iron bands, making it very heavy looking and very well protected. The other level appears to be controlling of simple lock, a couple of iron hooks that will secure the cover firmly in place.

Looking outside it seems there aren't much there besides some 30 meters of short grass before incredibly dense forest starts. Pines are very tall, reaching easily height 40 meters, foliage so dense it leaves everything below in permanent shadow. On the very edge grows occasional bush of young willows. Together with shadows and densely packed pines it is very difficult to see more than a few meters into the forest. And as he peeks around, it seems like there's a small stone structure in the direction of the sun. A well, perhaps?

Lea on the other hand sneaks to the door, presses her ears against it and listens carefully. Nothing. All she can hear is her own heart and noises the other dudes in the same room makes. She carefully opens it, but she can't see anything. It's dark there. However, since that one guy lets light in, it's probably too late to worry about being noticed so she pulls the door wide open and steps in. With the backlight she can make out few important details.

Next to the door, taking up entire corner, is a hand loom. A real old fashioned hand loom (actually, even room walls look like in the picture). A wooden box with some rolls of yarn and long cloth strips of various colors, right in grabbing distance for any aspiring cloth weaver. On the other side of the door is a big fireplace. It too takes an entire corner for itself. The floor around it is covered with wide brass plate, clearly intended to catch any stray sparks flying off. At the moment, there's no fire, but if Lea squints her eyes carefully, she thinks she can see some faint embers. Near it is another wooden box, filled with firewood.

In the opposite corner lays a large hexagonal table, nearly one and a half meters wide. Looking closer it seems like it is made of a single piece of wood. One could easily count multiple decades the three spent growing before it was repurposed as a neat table. However, most of the rings are hidden by a leather bound book. It doesn't have much decorations beyond embossed title "VISITOR'S BOOK". In addition of the book, there's six old fashioned oil lanterns resting on the table. On each side of the table are large padded chairs, the kind that would be really nice for napping.

In addition to that there are some some tapestries hanging from the walls, mounted moose skull and a few shelves. One door leads what's probably a kitchen and another, much heavier in appearance and locked with a one thick bar, which clearly is a front door. Everything in this room is old, perhaps from mid 1800, or at least looks like such. All in all, this room has a certain sense of warmth in it. Not that any of you would call this home, but clearly it is somebody's home.

But in stark contrast with all old timey stuff are two very modern, bright red 10 kg CO2 fire extinguishers, both mounted on walls near doors. Those are actually only signs of modern civilization you have seen so far here. If not for those fire extinguishers, you could easily believe you were thrown back in time nearly two centuries.

((How much would it cost to refill on Medifoam?))

A token I think.

may as well use the last of the laser rifle's charge left on the guy trying to attack me. Aim mainly for anything but his head. if I do disable him, also drag him to the armory master and politely request: "May I return one dibshit, one manipulator, one laser rifle,
 and a blow torch"
I'll decide what I do next or buy based on the results of the above actions

Ah, briefing revealed who stole my cutting torch! Run him over with gurney and retrieve.

One is in VR and another on motored gurney. Would the one in VR even notice? I mean it's a simple bed on wheels, not a rocket propelled semi truck.

[Vik Dex: 5]
[Citotp Dex: 4-1]
[Con: 6+1]
[Citotp End: 4-1]
[Joanna Dex: 4]

Having failed to satisfy his lust in VR Vik takes VR helmet off and looks around. He notices Citotp on hospital bed speeding towards him, murder in his eyes. Vik thinks the bony person may perhaps know too much and decides it's time to silence him. By lasering his head off. With fast movement Vik flings out his laser rifle, steps on side of the bed (not that it's difficult or anything) and swings the laser over Citotp's chest, cutting him and the bed in half right through his heart. Swing of the laser goes a little too high and seriously menaces Joanna that's about to enter rec room too. She notices the event unfolding and only her fast reflexes saves her from being cut half vertically.

"Hey, what the fuck?!"

"It's self defense." Vik shrugs. "Completely legal."

Vik grabs now dead Citotp by hair, leaving the lower body and arms behind, and drags him to armory leaving a trail of blood on floor. The armory master raises her gaze from datapad and frowns at the blood trail.

"Return policy for dipshits is to throw them into infirmary. Two tokens for manipulator, one token for both rifle and torch."

Bastien looks agahast at dave's madness. He was clearly the defacto mvp of the team he would go as far as to say everyone would have died without his wisw guidance. Yes. Everything was all apart of his plan after all the injury everything all to get the team to work together and prove their abiltys without relying on him as a crutch.

As such bastien rose to spoke.

"Wait dave. You see this was all apart of my plan all along. I intentionally let this happen to me so that the others could reach a better anf higher standard without me to carry them.
As such I promoted team unity made these sods semi competant and as such improved the effectiveness of the team making future missions more likely to go extremly well!

PERSUASION. If it helps he honestly believes this.

> And?

"Thanks Mr. Dave!  And I like the new feets.  They're shiny!"

Derp some at Dave.

Level up: +5 Str +5 Uncon

> Glad you like them. I bet you will get more replacements soon.

Got it.

((I'm wondering what I ought to buy with those 8 tokens. An Emergency kit would be nice. An Advanced Kit would be better but would involve using almost all my tokens. A Microwave Field Manipulator or Kinetic Amplifier would be a nice emergency weapon but I'm not sure if Joanna should touch those. Or, for Armor she could buy a Civic Defender Longcoat or a Mk.2. Anyone who's less of a newbie got recommendations?))

Joanna heads to the Rec Room, to relax a bit before the next mission.

((I don't know if I'm qualified to give suggestions...))

As soon as you enter the rec room you notice you are on Vik's firing line. You jump on side and feel brief touch of hot air near your hand. After throwing some curses at him you watch as Vik drags Citotp's upper body away, leaving broken gourney, lower body exuding all kinds of internal organs, and pair of arms behind.

This ain't relaxing! Not relaxing at all!

"Well,  this is a fine situation. Alright,  who are you guys?"  Lee begins to look  around the room,  including under the beds.

You kneel down and check under each bed, but only thing there is dust and not much of that either. The place is recently cleaned, though not thoroughly. Shelves are empty, rugs are simple, and beds only have sheets and a pillows.

"Ya-aaAAaawn...Huh. Don't remember falling asleep here. Wherever here is, at least. What's the last thing you guys remember?"

What's the last thing I remember? Look around the room, see if there are any compartments, like under the floorboards, etc., that may have stuff hiding in them.

Walking upright by forest and then instant transition to laying on bed with no downtime in between, that's extent of your memories. This smells like supernatural to you.

You join the other guy checking under things. You find that floor boards next to window walls do not seem to be nailed down and moves very little when you push it but coving keeps it firmly in place. You would need some tools to get it out. But then again it's dark here so you could have missed something. In general, there isn't anything useful besides empty shelves, beds and simple rugs on floor.
