If bits of rope are any useable length, loot them. It's gonna be beginning of my treasure hoard. Also pick up one head sized idol to watch over my treasures. All this stuff goes naturally on warbeast's back.

"It's a mystery camp! Nobody knows who made it, but it was used by many! Who will solve this mystery?"

"Seventy? You look a hella lot younger than that, you lucky bastard!"

In regards of "coincidental" clansmeet: "Really now? What a coincidence indeed. It matches suspiciously with prophecy of that apocalyptic burning bush." Elaborate said prophecy if requested, but make sure mention "a guy like you" part doesn't necessarily mean me. There are others matching that description, like Mr. Daniels, Ms. Minett and... have I even seen others? I don't remember anymore.

((I forgot about this one.))

"Oh, and talking about prophecies, Hœnir, one of gods, gave me another that's slightly puzzling. I have to find out 'what makes men into houses'. Got any puzzle solving skill in you?" It's rain, isn't it?

I'm having some strange stuff happening here.

ADDIT: Okay, for some reason the forum is refusing to recognize that the message box is not empty.

ADDIT2: I have tried some stuff, it failed, sent a bug report. Pastebin with turn is here: http://pastebin.com/9yWmTu7h

ADDIT3: I'll do PM's tomorrow when there's hopefully more than 2 of them.

Toady updated forum software recently and some people have had problems since then. This might be related.

Heal our ears!  And our instruments!

5-1 - Chicken plucker works quite well for medicine chant, fixing your and other bards' eardrums as well as restoring Ultimuh's hair.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! LIMITLESS POWER!!!"

Contine epic sonar dubstep, empower fellow bards with extreme sonic power.

3 - Your supporting melody is barely enough to improve Harry's music.

"Guess who's back, buttholes!"

Twang the jaw harp, arresting the boulders in the air with my haunting melody.

"Harry's back, back again! Harry's back for the win!"

4+1 - Wicked twang escapes from your lips, repeatedly denying reality until it finally gives up. New world order is set in place, completely preventing anything physical approaching this band of brothers.

Quote from: Guild Master
Starfall

2 - Stars fail to fall as intented. Guild master focuses too much on technical aspects of the song.

Barrage of flaming boulders stop soon as it becomes evident orcs are only wasting their ammunition. Instead orcish geamancers raise wide stairs for the army reach you on next turn. Of course Harry's shield will prevent them coming too close but it would force you be little more careful what kind of reality bending you do.

If you can till soil with it, you can whack skulls with it. Especially if it's something you can pick up and carry around without much trouble. Obtaining such farming implement will be good point to start from.

"Hahaha! Please don't joke around or she gets angry." Causing misunderstanding why Lee would get angry. "We are just traveling together out of convenience since our trip takes us in same direction, my goal being Elizabeth and hers her clan. I'm still strictly unmarried man and plan to stay that way for a while until I learn which way I must go to return home, if I can indeed return home."

Listen stories, finish breakfast, get to know people, and focus on the place. See if I can archieve that state of hyperawareness again.

"Big man!" Leif shouts cheerfully in response. He shamelessly joins their breakfast, grabbing food without reservation. "I believe in my humanity very much, thank you. What's up?"

"Good morning, Rose. I have no memory if you found me any pants last night, but if you did then I lost them again. Sorry about that. You see, I woke up naked on top of that tree there. No clue how I ended up there."

No reason to ruin this good cheery mood going on. Please do not be marriage interview.

50 - Magical Item: Mask of Underdog - Item created by the Mask Painter. Usually in bright red, easily wearable form resembling dog's face. It is usually found around areas deemed boring by the Mask Painter, by people who are losing everything they had, be it king or beggar. When worn by any sapient creature, the mask changes, taking perfect appearance of wearer's face and fusing with it, literally becoming wearer's face. In this state the wearer gains what they need to raise from their hardships; courage, wisdom, intelligence, skill or power. Once wearer is once again steady footing in their life, the mask falls off and disappears.

It's the Mask Painter's first tool to ensure stories where is none. It's first found by a Trohnak.

50 - Magical Item: Mask of Fool - Second story generator created by the Mask Painter. Identical in appearance with Mask of Underdog, but opposite in its purpose. It is found only by people in position of power, who have too much, in their moment of self doubt. When worn it becomes their second face just like its counterpart, but instead of giving, it takes. It takes courage, it takes wisdom, it makes its wearer make bad and foolish decisions, bringing them from heights down to their knees in mud. It can send judges into prison and ruin kingdoms.

While Mask of Fool and Mask of Underdog can be worn by siblings at the same time, they are never part of same story.

50 - Magical area: Library of Stories. An extradimensional place where all stories, poems, theatre manuscripts, all story telling mediums in history of this world are recorded. Good ones and bad ones are found here alike. No story is forgotten. Every continent has one wandering entrance, but only those the Mask Painter approves can enter, only one each decade. And as usual, Mask Painter is very fickle about his criterias. On some decade he may let in the first one asking, and on next it may be one specific person even if it never occurs to that person they could get in. Whatever fits Mask Painter's whim.

50 - Special event: Year of Fantasy - Once every 500 years Mask Painter walks on earth in disguise of trader, selling well made masks wherever a festival is going on. The masks he sells bring either fortune or misfortune to their new owners for rest of the year. On this year stories come life in accordance of storyteller's talent. Masterful orator may make listeners truly see and feel the story, as if they were part of it. In case Mask Painter is in the city/village, told stories may even make permanent changes into reality, such as new painting or mural on walls decipiting told story, replica of legendary weapon related to the story staying behind, or perhaps footprints of a monster on ceiling if it was a horror story.

"Yes! Do it!" Ryan cannot hold his excitement. "Can I eat those?"

Alright, I'm fine with that. Also, taking Devastator's suggestion of using Wolves as my affinity

Edit: Forgot to change the backstory

((To me it seems you rerolled five times. Also quirk is something you roll from roll table.))

That reminds me, IO, of this famous surgeon pioneer back in the good old days when surgery was done in public for people to observe. He was renowned for his speed in amputating legs, and in one demonstration he achieved a 300% mortality rate. He accidentally sliced off his patient's testicles, and with a backswing of his knife stabbed his assistant - he later died of the infected wound - and an observing woman was so horrified by the dying amputee's suffering she fainted to death.

Robert Liston.

Amputated the leg in under 2 ½ minutes (the patient died afterwards in the ward from hospital gangrene; they usually did in those pre-Listerian days). He amputated in addition the fingers of his young assistant (who died afterwards in the ward from hospital gangrene). He also slashed through the coat tails of a distinguished surgical spectator, who was so terrified that the knife had pierced his vitals he dropped dead from fright.

That was the only operation in history with a 300 percent mortality.

Let's go meet the old hermit, ascertain who and what he is.

If he has food, we can extort him with zombies, but if we can also learn survival skills by befriending him, that's also an option.

-1 Let's not. It's two days travel away and we don't have that much food yet. I would rather ignore him for few days and get our travel rations up to date. We could, however, copy his traps and get few rabbits.

In terms of arcane study I would like to see if we can bind bones of coyote skeleton together with strips of its skin and see if we can reanimate it when it stays together better. Or failing in that, see if we can reanimate portions of body. Upper body of coyote shudders and begins to move!
