Remember how when I talked about making firenectar, I though it should be brewable? Fire rum really burns when it goes down...but yeah, that should make an excellent trade good, as well as some Smith's Stones. Smith's Stone are something we would make, our first magical non sentient item. They are around two inches around, just collected from rocks, and produce heat based on how many of them a nearby. This means that if you have one, it's just a little warm to the touch. If you have twenty of them, it can melt steel. Tada. He might like silk too. In return. We get materials, golem plans, bricks, etc.

Heh...speaking of magma...let's find a mole. Then, let us change it. It shall become massive, about twice as tall as a human, and exude heat from it's body n massive quantities. It uses this heat to melt rock, et it, and excrete smelted metals and stone bricks from it's other side. We have a miner who pays for itself with manarack.

Azaroth: Ah! A new temple. Good. It will take some time to complete; years, in fact, but you can wait. Meanwhile, The construction attracts followers, interested in this new 'god'. by the time they found out who they really pledged their faith too, it was far too late...Orobos, on his own, goes and destroys the few farmsteads and villages aroun the city, offering them a choice between worshiping you or death. Strangely, they must have all refused, and Orobos enjoy slaughter...you feel no new worshippers from the area, and he seems more...energetic.

Cupiditas: Your Sorceror, Evious, is a fine...person. They prefer to be called they now, which is rather confusing at times, but they are enacting your will. You will allow them their trivialities. It's not as if the Powers have genders, after all. Other than your Imps, that is.

Inithis: Ah. the afterlife is finished. Now for a Demon. Power-consuming, but worth it. But the most populated city refuses your followers entry, and so you go to the second most; Usael's, funnily enough. The question is one of whether he'll let you in...

Javier: What a good nap. Now for the sun god...wait, what? The deity seems to disappear as her faith wavers and dies. As Celestia fades away, you stalk the battlefield, striking down those who would have opposed you. The meager beings scatter before you, and while some die, it would be simply ridiculous to try to kill all of them. Returning to the already weakened mayor, you try to convince the humans, but strangely, they refuse. It seems this leader is not so influential as you thought. The eladrin dies, which is nice, succumbing to your disease. Celestia's power can not be claimed though, as she fades away; she did not die. At her city, they seem to throw off your imp, angry at all the powers, apparently. Your demon, at least, can gather some followers. Of course, some of yours also leave, upset at...something. Probably has to do with trying to make carriers a second time and being disillusioned at your failure and sleeping.

Celestia's power dissipates before you can taste any, but it would have been good to destroy her yourself. Some of the dwarves, you realize, have decided to follow one of the other devils, one who appeals to their tastes...

I did it...almost. Some people didn't post, so I didn't get them, and I barely have enough time for this post, much less Azaroth's. Sorry.

I would post 'Oso's Thoughts' except he's insane, and that would probably be a bad idea.

See, this is why we should have intimidated them. Oh well. Probably would have only meant they'd be prepared to fight. Why do we need heavy artillery again? The fights so far have been at close range, where heavy artillery will hurt us as much as them. Heavy artillery is rarely useful for anything other than pitched battles and sieges.

Also, look at my troop suggestions.

As for air support, we could always make 'demons' or 'dragons'.

Because they were often stone cannonballs during that time?

I had no idea how the fight with the ants went, as I had to do chores during said time. However. I still feel like a badass space captain.

Yeah...no. Chainmail's bonus was partly the flexibility. That flexibility meant it might break a bone or bruise pretty badly, but it won't hack through, as there won't be enough force to push through the links, the blunt of it being transferred to the padded leather beneath, while the edge is stopped on the steel. Besides, even with super strong demons or whatever, Knights in the medieval era were sometimes called pincushions. Why? Because the arrows would get stuck in their armor without going all the way through. Which is why people invented the bodkin arrow and the crossbow. Those were some of the few things that would get through. Up close, many fights eventually became wrestling matches with knives, each trying to get to a weak point in the armor.

An axe will hurt if you hit it against chainmail, but unless you're a goddamn viking berserker in full rage mode holding it with both hands, or get a weak point, it's not going to shear through solid steel. Of course, a poleaxe will go through pretty easy, and even a dagger will kill if you push it through their visor...Just saying that head to head? There's a reason knights ruled the battlefields.

Did we forget that we could tell when one of our people dies? You don't think he'd notice that the people he sent to gather those ones especially if they have boons, were slaughtered? If we keep them prisoner and show that we aren't heartless murderers the same as them, and have honor, he might be open to diplomacy. Besides, if they're alive, we can get them to tell us more about the EoT.

How many points does being demons that have more people and incredible fighting skills cost? 2? Really? Only 2? Especially considering the only diplomacy will really be between you guys? I think an unarmed teen vs. a trained soldier being equal is kinda ridiculous, tbh. But, anyway. GWG's game, just interested to see how things turn out.

On another note, chinese crossbows vs. Mongolian recurve bows(not longbows) is different than Genovese Crossbows vs. English Longbows.

...No, it's around a thousand. Rome is iron age, Crusades is Medieval.

On another note, Crossbows out-range longbows. Unless you're talking about dinky little hand crossbows or some shit. But the good, big crossbows with 400 lb pull strength? And they fire lighter projectiles than crossbows? Oh hell yeah they go farther. Their disadvantage is a long ass reload time. The british longbowmen could draw, aim, and fire fast enough that there was a volley every ten seconds instead of the 40 to 50 seconds required for the giant crossbows.
