It worked! I played for a year and all 4 saves backed-up. That is not too smart of how he did that "compress saves" thing if it corrupts your world and prevents  backups.

It's not there... I'll play for a year and see if it saves any of the 4 seasons.

Thanks for the help, it's too bad that the world was deleted because of that. Was such a great world! Anyways, I turned off compressed saves so it hopefully will help to prevent it from happening again. Where does it make its own folder to back it up to? I'm still not sure I'm getting any backups.

Refuses to Backup???

I have my settings set to <Autosave: Seasonal> <Backup Saves: Yes> <Compress Saves: Yes> and it will not backup my saves. I was playing for hours on my best world so far. I had iron armor and everything, and when I tried to reload the save, it didn't work. It always just crashes saying: Dwarf Fortress.exe has stopped working. I can deal with my save being corrupt. I check for the autosaves and they are nowhere to be found. I have looked everywhere. I cannot find where my backups are placed, and because of that it seems like I have permanently lost my favorite world. Really disappointed, thought LNP was supposed to be the best manager for Dwarf Fortress. Unless if my backup names are completely different from everyone else's (regionX-season-year I'm pretty sure) then I've just lost all of this work. Can anyone help me? Where are your backups saved to?
