Well, these engravings are far below what I've seen from our artists. Could anyone even draw a crappier looking Lion?

Let's do the examining part first.
It seems she was first set on fire, then smashed in the head. This smith was quite pale before.

If you're going to visit the forges, keep in mind that there probably aren't as many dwarves as there are supposed to be. You may want to take precautions.
If you're going to get some food, you have a couple of options as to where. There's a stockpile near the farms and a big one near the dining room. There's also some food near the brewery and the stockpile near the butchery might also have some leftovers.
