Here's my eternal question:

Why would we mount the explosives on robots?
Here's my eternal answer:
Why the hell not?
Simple.
It's impractical.

That's never stopped the Bay12Games community, has it?

We should also work on perpetual motion machines and infinite energy from a loop of extension cords. And space-time folding, so we deliver fastest.

Interested in building a gaming rig with potential Christmas money. Keep in mind, this is hypothetical. This is a rig I'm building with limited funds and sanity in mind, so the processor is going to be AMD. I got told by a person who does repairs for various machines that a Phenom II Series might be better than FX Series 8 Core... true?

Oh, and the proposed motherboard is ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z.

I'm new to this, so if anything I said is facepalm, bear with it.

Supporting GWG there. I dont think that directly agressing our nemesis right now, or even soon, is doable or remotely sane. For now we should lend our services as mercenaries and mine/manufacture stuff. Hopefully one or both are viable on this remote, sparsely populated planet[s/] moon's moon.
Still, can we at least start developing our suicide bots? You know, just in case...

Oh, come on! It'll be perfect! We could create a whole line of explosive devices for all sorts of PMCs! Or just use them for mining!

On the other hand we may have just allied with the local version of sewer rats/eldritch abominations.

No turning back now, even if we just allied with the "alliance of evil" or "thing that killed all those corpses". Fully embrace your new alliance... perhaps you may even be able to lead them as an army if you become prominent enough in their society.

But like the others said, pick up those weapons and head north. Perhaps into that entranceway that appears to be the "brood village"? We saw it earlier, just down that pathway.

If you can get a quest of some sorts, that would be ideal as well. Perhaps you may want to name yourself, as to have something to introduce rather than "amnesiac robot thing".

I nominate "Slash" as your name. Because "Sludge n' Slash" sounds like an awesome name for this duo, at least to me.

Or perhaps "Spectros"... have no idea where I got that name, though it rings a bell. Hmm...

I shall do join this. But some rules suggestions. Each day or week some sort of documentation/ witty commentary should be posted. Also, we each adopt a character that becomes slot one of the main squad during our turn. Should that character die, turn prematurely ends, and the round is handed over to the next liberal.

Yeah, you are right about Staten Island, but geographically and somewhat culturally I always thought it was closer to New Jersey. We might just have to steal it from New York... just kidding. Also, Staten Island does always gets screwed over. Fun fact: They are the only borough to have never produced a Supreme Court judge.

And yeah, Yonkers and those other regions are definitely outskirts, along with a lot of Suffolk. Newark, Hoboken, and Jersey City are definitely outskirts as well.

Now, other major cities to dissect. Because the world revolves does not revolve around NYC.

Chicago... I lived around there once too, but I was never quite familiar with all the landmarks. I think Navy Pier and Sears Tower are really it. Do we have a blasphemous deep dish pizza eater person from Chicago who can perhaps define important landmarks a bit better?

Thin crust rules! Long live the folded pizza!

OK then. Just don't vaguepost too often, and quote what you are referring to for reference.

Ally with it, and give it a weapon to defend itself, possibly the axe. Also, give a funny nickname to the little creature, like Sludge. Finally, see if you can communicate somehow with gestures.

Just curious, where is Grendel's center of operations? Does she have holdings on this planet? If so, we should start making explosives, not only for mining, but for sabotaging the enterprise of your Nemesister. Get supplies for bomb manufacturing and some expendable and cheap robots/clones to strap those explosives to. Then point them in the direction of said operations and tell them to press the big red button when they find something that looks valuable and important.

Might want to arm them too, in case Grendel is way ahead of you on that plan. Again, keep it cheap but effective. Basic combat training and Electromag pistols could work. And self-detenation as the enemy closes in.

Eh, I wouldn't consider the Hamptons "NYC Metro". The distance between NYC and those areas is too far to be considered adjacent. You can access those areas by driving or the LIRR, but it certainly isn't a short amount of time, so it is impractical for Long Island became the outskirts. It's almost like considering all of NJ outskirts to Newark.

You could probably consider Yonkers or Staten Island as outskirts... I mean, Staten Island is a borough, but it isn't exactly a center of activity.

Also, on another note, Times Square as a site should be possible. Possibly as a park? Dunno.

Recent games involve lots of hostage taking for infiltration, along with stealth in trenchcoats. It's surprising how easy AM Radio Stations become to raid with a car and some captured conservatives.
