It's a tough call, but I'm going to have to go with Non-Existent Poster #2. There's something about that post that Non-Existent Poster #1 just didn't bother with.

Roll To Dodge / Warriors of the Portal - processing character sheets!
« on: December 18, 2015, 12:12:21 am »
You have been dragged through a bizarre portal! You don't know this, yet, but many battles await you! Luckily for you, you're no slouch when it comes to combat; you're definitely something. You might be a legendary hero; you might possess an amazing item; you might be training in a unique class. Then again, you might just be a soldier in some king's army.

Whatever you are, you're in for a tough time.

One day, the gods had a squabble. They agreed to settle it through champions, but they couldn't agree on anything else, so this happened.

To sign up, post a character sheet.

Roll To Dodge / RtDDD: roll to dimly, dangerously... dinfight? close enough
« on: December 07, 2015, 10:18:53 pm »
You are adventurers; each of you has a unique power, job, skill, trait, or item. You have decided to explore the Dungeon of Doom, because it (hopefully) contains cool stuff. Unfortunately, you've run into several goblins! Oh no! Goblins are almost as dangerous as rats, and your village lost five people to rats in the last week!

The rats might have been possessed, though.

Floor: 1F
Room: A small room; the walls, floor, and ceiling are all carved from stone. There is a door to the north, and a staircase leading upward to the south.
Foes: Goblin Swordsman, Goblin Archer, Goblin Shaman, Goblin Trainee

If you owned a castle, what type of room would you most want to have in it?

If you were the lord of a castle, what type of person would you be?

Roll To Dodge / Roll to Slay: worst game-killing reason ever
« on: October 18, 2015, 01:34:06 pm »
The king has put out a bounty on a dragon's head. That might seem like an overreaction, but the dragon ate, like, five of the king's sheep, and stole his favourite sceptre while he was out getting ice cream. That's pretty mean.

Originally, the king planned to hire two heroes:

  • A knight, to go forth and slay the dragon
  • A wizard, to cast a spell that would aid the knight

Unexpectedly, he received word from many knights and many wizards. Surprised, he took two days to decide what to do.

He settled on holding a drawing. He will select one knight and one wizard at random. If they failed, well, the knight's probably already dead, but the wizard would have to be exiled.

The king also hired a bunch of spies to do spy stuff—using the last of the kingdom's funds—and they brought back this Dragon Report:

Afterward, he read the daily Royal Report, delivered by his chancellors.

Once he was done with these reports, he obtained the jars of names. The first names he drew out were...

You hear a cry for help.

"Hey! They're after me! Come here, quick!"

You decide that, being just another peasant, you don't particularly want to get involved in a conf—

"I command you! Help me, or I'll have you beheaded!"

You turn to them.

Oh, it's the king. Why is the king under attack by

...Scarecrows?

Well, you should probably do something to help. Luckily, you've brought your trusty [INSERT OBJECT HERE], and you have a plan: [INSERT ACTION HERE]! Also, your shirt is [colour].

You are on a space station. At the moment, you're thinking about two things:

  • Your name. Man, is it a cool name. You can't wait to tell everyone about it.
  • What you're planning to do this turn ambiguous time period.

You're also thinking about this map:

Wow, three thoughts at once! You're definitely smart enough to be on a space station.

Roll To Dodge / Roll to[ward the] Line - The Grass is Greener (or is it???)
« on: September 28, 2015, 06:19:18 pm »

You're on a team. You've been looking over at the other team's line, lately, and—hey!—that grass looks greener. If you managed to cross that line, you could steal their grass and replant it behind yours!

The goal of the game is to cross the other team's line. That's it. To join, post an object and what you plan to do with it.

Roll To Dodge / Roll to Level Up II (indefinite hiatus)
« on: July 25, 2015, 11:55:38 am »
Roll to Level Up

It's back! Roll to Level Up is a semi-minimalist game in which you attempt to level up. To level up, you must kill things and do stuff related to your class. If you're curious about what it was like last time, the original thread is here, but keep in mind that some things will be different this time around.

I think somebody else is running a game named Roll to Level Up. This is neither that game nor a sequel to that game. It is unrelated, other than the name and the fact that you can level up.

To join, simply post a class and initial action.

Currently, the spawn area is a large meadow, with the bordering forest stretching as far as the eye can see—which isn't very far, since the forest is pretty dense. In the centre of the meadow is a large red gem. It looks pretty valuable! What is your class, and what do you do?

Roll To Dodge / Crundlemon: Arena
« on: December 23, 2014, 11:28:20 am »
Crundlemon: Arena

Main thread.

Stuck on the waitlist? Bored? Why not fight in the Arena?

To join, simply post a character sheet in the main thread. This is intended as a diversion for those stuck on the waitlist, but you can join in even if you don't want to play the main game.

This post will eventually contain information like standings, available items, and other stuff.
