Masterwork DF / Issue with 4c

So let me start by saying I am sorry if I missed a post about this but I have put in the effort and searched.
So I cant get the game to finish world generation. It errors out at finalizing world creation or something at the very end. I did get it to go through once a few days ago but I have been unable to get it to work correctly after that. The only changes I make to the WorldGen part are upping the embark points and lowering the start year.
I have deleted and downloaded unzipped the file multiple times. I use the app that ups the amount of ram the df.exe uses. Rebooted my PC etc.
The one time I did get the world to generate when I tried to embark and chose a location, most of the time I was unable to move the 3x3 box around in the very left window and sometimes it wasnt the default 3x3 it would be like 3x8 or something - very strange.
Any help would be much appreciated - thanks in advance!
