DF Bug Reports / Jail troubles

I had a jewler imprisoned for a couple weeks and he had the job drink the whole time.  When he's released, his job is still drink but he is still just standing still where he was released.  Similarly, my bone crafter was in jail and then released and now he's sleeping on the floor even though he's starving.

In 104.19d (maybe older versions too) the dwarves will throw objects ordered to be chasmed on top of my bridge that covers the chasm.

Curses / Disguise/stealth abuse?

So, I've noticed that the stealth and disguise skills are pretty much the most abusable skills in the game right now (correct me if I'm wrong!).  I've added all the code to make them only advance when there is a chance of failure (and XP is based on the risk).  In the existing code only one of the two skills is being used and both are advancing, but I also made it so that only the one being used for the rolls is getting any XP.  I still need to play a game with these changes in effect, and I'd like to hear peoples thoughts before I add these big changes to the SVN.

Curses / Linux Compiling

Hey guys.  I was editing LCS this weekend before I remembered that there was a massive project dedicated to just such a thing!  I've got the latest SVN version of the source, but I can't get the makefiles to cooperate (old or am).  Any quick fixes or words of wisdom?  (Less importantly, I can't get it to run the Windows version using Wine, which is sad.)

Any chance you'll tell us the spoily game mechanics?  I'm mostly just curious to see how attributes and skills interact.

I think in the old game it was something like this:  attribute + skill + 1d10
Is that still the case?  Can more than one attribute or skill influence something?  Does not having a skill have an effect, or just make it roll the attribute + 1d10?

I was being silly, just having my leader chack endlessly.  After a couple weeks he was arrested for disrupting interstate commerce.  While waiting for trial, he was still hacking and ended up stealing thousands of dollars over the course of his trial.  When I was let out (not guilty, ha!) I did it again, and it all happened again.

The wikia page seems fairly good, but Aquillion pointed out that Dwarf Fortress does not really meet their policy requirements, so I suggest we avoid spending more time on it.

I already made an account on the first one, so that's my vote for a fairly arbitrary reason.  It's endorsed by a playtester!   :p  

The sooner we all decide on a wiki, the better.  Which wiki should we focus on?

It seems to me that having your skin pierced in any way causes death no matter what.  I was doing some tests yersteday and at one point I was hit in the foot with a short sword.  I had skin, muscle, toe skin, toe muscle, and toe bone damage.  I used the travel interface to escape right away, and switched to real time and left the room.  When I came back a few minuites later, my character had gone into shock.  Every time I had any injury that was slashing it was fatal.

I'd really like some scenerios to be added along with the next release, would that take too long??  Basically I want to choose two species to have a battle.  Twenty or so would statr in a rough line some distance away from each other, and you would pick a side to be on.  Then you and your forces would charge each other and fight until no one was left.

When are you adding skills like first aid??  It'd be awfuly nice to be able to give/recieve aid to a person in shock...

How is magic gonna work?  Are you just going to cast spells without ilmit, whenever you want?  I know that you wouldnt stoop to a magic point system, but there is oging to be some limit, right?  I was thinking that the more you cast the more you get stunned and/ or sleepy.  If you cast too much you could loose blood, have little wounds open all over your body, pass out/ go into shock, get hungry, etc.  What are your current plans on that?

I want to be able to trick people into selling their souls!!  Haha!!  Or at least say I'll spare their lives if the give them over to me.  Then kill them.    :D

Meanwhile though, how much longer do you have to kill monters before youre sure they die properly?

We should have a contest to see who can kill the most things in the new Armok version!

A couple quick questions: will there be any way to heal at all in the next release??  Will there be a save feature and/or will there be any score besides how many attacks you preform?
