"Time for you to add some folks besides Vlad to the list of people you're afraid of. But we don't need false prophets to speak for us, for we can save ourselves."

"Too bad you can't."

Wait until Xerxe has moved. H3. Attack Oswald with Silver Scythe. Canto F1.

"For so long, I wasn't ready for the world. But now, the world better be ready for me."

"You know Messiahs, this exact scenario already happened once tonight. The Asher Street Rogues tried to gang up on Largo, and it went exactly like it went for you. I thought you'd be smarter than the freaking Rogues. Or at least smart enough to run away with the others."

Equip Silver Scythe. G1. Attack Mosher G. Canto F3.

Anna: B12. Attack Aspirant B.
Anya: Equip Silver Whip. N12. Attack Mosher F.
Nico: B11. Attack Aspirant A.
Owyn: M11. Attack Aspirant C.

As Bowler takes wing, Lastelle looks over the walls and scans the crowd of enemies. This wouldn't be easy, not exactly, but a challenge she is entirely ready for. A few of the Messiahs seem particularly important to their line, inspiring their allies and disturbing the Warriors with their songs. They'd have to go soon, yet they don't look like the sort that would be the first through the gate. Smiling, she hefts her scythe and commands Bowler to charge the closest one over the wall.

"Surprise!"

L7. Attack Messiah Frontman B with Dueling Scythe. Canto L9.

156
Lastelle mounts Bowler, turns to face the gates and flourishes her scythe.

"Always."

157
"Alright then, I like it. Knocking down a few goths in facepaint will be a nice ol' bonding experience for our guilds."

158
"Huh, the media work fast. That does bring us to my question, though: I don't see why you're helping us so readily, given the amount of heat we've got on our tail. You didn't have to offer us a defensible position or supplies against the Messiahs. Even if you guys have bad blood with them, I'm sure we could have beaten them up without you sticking your neck out for us. Again, I'm really thankful for the help, but all the intrigue tonight has left me a little paranoid, sorry for that."

159
"We didn't. We were having what was supposed to be a 'dry' party at the Valiere House in Agreste, but then we woke up a bit after midnight, hung over. Our weapons were covered in fake blood and pictures of them were going around the boards already, so it's definitely a planned frameup. We're on our way back to base so we can get this sorted out."

160
With Hitomi's appearance, Lastelle suddenly remembered where that "Unforgivable!" line had come from: a pre-battle chant she'd seen the Starlight Soldiers use. For a while, she kept her mouth shut to keep Hitomi from realizing her copyright infringement. Even Lucy's earnest talk to Largo was something she kept herself from snarking about, but the glow of the Soldiers' armoury now glints in her eyes.

"Wow."

"I think you have more weapons than we do. And just for the nine of you? Wow."

Lastelle sets down a Stamina Boost to make room in her inventory, then picks up a Recover.

"don't think about the incident don't think about the incident..."

Lastelle gingerly puts the staff (and the bad memories) away, then starts sharpening her scythes, making the best of the time the Warriors have in the siege.

"Say, Hitomi. Don't get me wrong, we're all really thankful for the help, but why are you helping us? Most of the gangs in town have been after us tonight, thinking we killed someone. Which we didn't, by the way."

Mafia / Re: Invitation to Mafia Championship - Season 8

2018 was Tea, not me. We're different people.

Potions are already double-price scrolls usable by any class, so I'd use that price calculation instead (spell level * caster level * 50 gp). Undead Anatomy IV is a good comparison, since though the effects are random, they also have a longer duration. Going by minimum caster level, a potion of the spell would cost 6000 gp. Throw in the standard 20% discount for being an adventure reward and we get to 4800 gp per dose. If we read it as a 7th-level effect instead for the randomness and the weaker effects, the same calculation places the price at 3640 gp per dose.

Of course, there aren't official rules for high-level potions and you may decide to give a greater discount for the reward, so selling it at 1500 gp isn't out of the question, but I know that as a player I'd use it all the time for that price.

163
Assuming this is Pathfinder, 1500 gp is quite cheap for some of the effect magnitudes on that list. In a high-level game, I'd take that at the start of pretty much every dungeon, not as a situational consumable. There are some weaker effects in there (e.g. at will Charm Person won't do a lot), but it's still definitely worth the gamble. Of course, if you want players to be careful about using it, arm your villains with knowledge about it (or even doses for themselves) and Daylight spells. Or maybe if you use it more than three times between two full moons, you risk turning into a true vampire.

I don't know, the grumpy cat face hybrid had a "so done with your shit" feeling to it that made it great for Mafia.

Replacement.

I won't have the time or energy to play Mafia for a bit, especially a D1, but call me in if someone needs to drop later.
