Ah, I think I get your point. FoU and King Zultan have to be the same alignment, and if FoU was scum, we'd be at 3-3 and the game would be over. But wouldn't that make the scumteam two of Secretdorf, Toaster or you?

I'm literally a tree stump btw.
Because why would I revive you if I was mafia lmao

Pretty sure a tree stump can't use a day revive.

If mafia had majority of the votes, game would be over already. Are you reading my posts??
Clearly not closely enough, because I don't understand your case at all.

Ok good, it has to be Secretdorf/FoU then.
Not a very convincing case. Got a long form version?

(Seriously though how is this game still going, mechanically. I figured it just ends automatically if mafia have the majority of votes. If that's true, then I know who is mafia. If it's not true, then fuck you guys for making me post so much to no result :D )
The game ends when one team's victory is inevitable. If you know who's mafia, say it and don't just say "Toaster/FoU".

Icy get over your emotions and see to the side of logic pls.
Your entire case (as far as you've actually said) is that Secretdorf's action gave false information, which I agree is suspicious. However, your mechanical play, i.e. your votes, does not make logical sense from a town point of view. It isn't the side of logic.

either Toaster/FoU next.
Which one? You can't accuse literally every unconfirmed player of being scum.

Unvote idiot. :@
Wanna address my concerns on your play first?

Well look at that, I just got revived.

Caz is pretty much openwolfing on this D2.

Ew. TricMagic
Hammervote on Tric, not questioning a completely senseless self-vote and knowing that a mafioso wouldn't have daykilled me.

Secretdorf or you gonna say something about roleflips being wrong?
Opening LYLO with a vote. This vote also goes unquickhammered for while, though there weren't many active players so that's a minor sign.

(Unsure why game hasn't ended, btw)
Confusion, not relief, that town got another Day.

This will be amazing if scum wins without posting for most of the game btw. Just town seppukuing eachother left and right.
Openly cheering for the mafia.

Icytea was mafia. It has to be a false roleflip as Tomasque says it was not a mod error. And thats what is written in my role PM. There is only one mafioso left, thats why it hasn't ended, don't you get it?
Why is a false roleflip more likely than a false action result, when false roleflips don't exist outside of bastard games?

Fallacy, Toaster, you can't lurk in the freaking endgame. Neither of you has posted nearly enough for me to get a decent read.

Tric didn't use it because I did. :P At least one out of Tric and ICT is mafia. I am thinking Tric because of their jesterish play lately. But I'd like to see what everyone thinks.
I can believe that, considering what I've seen and NQT apparently saw as well. That makes this move extremely strange, however:
Well, unless that isn't the case and I worry over nothing. If so please tell me.

Sayonara Icytea.
If this is a daykill, it will out Tric as mafia when I flip town, while town is still capable of lynching today. It's a completely senseless move, which I'd expect Tric's buddy, if not Tric himself, to realize.

... If Icytea has something to say, I'd suggest doing so now before the GM processes my action.
The ball's in your court. I've asked you a question, and any day action doesn't change it.
So could you perhaps explain what you meant when you said this?
RVS hasn't gotten off the ground so.. NQT, don't think I don't see you fishing. Or was that Icytea?

As for what I make of second blocker, I think it's not out of the realms of possibility and I wouldn't read much into it for N0. Let's see how people use their powers when they've had a day of suspicions to work off first.
I find it more likely the blocker was one and the same for you two.

Nah, I like the longer answers, they give more information.
I find this hypocritical, considering what you say just a little later:

Quote
Putting effort into finding scum instead of posturing would be a start.
You can't both say you like long answers for their informativeness and that the longer answer is effort-wasting posturing. And implying that I'm not putting effort into scumhunting is patently false, after I questioned you with a textbook mountain-out-of-molehill RVS case.

Quote
On what basis were you planning to build your case this Day?

I'll tell you when it happens ;) You don't plan a case and then stick it to someone. That's not scum hunting. That's a frame job.
You're not responding to the entire argument:
Quote
Bold of you to say that what I have on you already looks like a case, but building a case out of nothing is how D1 works, in the absence of mechanical evidence from N0. It's how one gets out of RVS.
Let me reword the question: where will your case come from, if not through playing the daygame?

Quote
Everyone:: How crazy is the idea of a win conditions mass claim, btw?
Unwise, in my opinion. It would open the possibility of mafia recruiting anyone they want with a compatible wincon, causing the previously-discussed prisoner's dilemma for town.

The fact you happen to be pushing like that makes me think you're not playing to town wincon though.
You're not explaining yourself sufficiently. You're pushing for things that would lose town the game if there's a slightest bit of error in them, without explaining why they are correct. Pushing against you to get you to talk more is certainly playing to the town wincon. So could you perhaps explain what you meant when you said this?
RVS hasn't gotten off the ground so.. NQT, don't think I don't see you fishing. Or was that Icytea?

I thing I know how this power works* and so I know TricMagic and IcyTea are not on the same team. The announcement may be correct, but it might not be. If it's wrong then Tric is framing Icy for some reason.
Interesting. I obviously know that the moderator post is false, but Tric's confused reaction to it makes me suspect a thunderdome wouldn't be the wisest move.

I checked back to setup, and I saw something that could have done that if changed a bit as well, possibly the same thing NQT mentioned. If it's that, I'd also reach this conclusion that Tric and I aren't on the same team. It's not a perfect match, though.

If we're looking for someone to claim that action, it wasn't me; I haven't used my day action yet, and it's a confirmable one once I do.

I mean... it's not really the same question.   Town by definition doesn't know their own "teammates."   There's no plan to make in that case.  If I thought the town was doomed, I'd be willing to snag my own wincon because there is no known safe communication.
At least you're honest.

Are you a mason again, bent on destroying me?
Not a mason, but I'll gladly destroy you if I need to. Do I need to?

For your part of the dilemma: you say you'd hash out a solution with your buddy ahead of the time. How would you create that plan in the town version, where you can't discuss it privately and don't know who your buddies are?

Eh maybe I should have been. But the whole point of the power is that it clears you of doing the night kill, so it makes sense to declare that sooner rather than later?
Makes sense, though it's mod-confirmed that nobody attempted a kill N0. I was planning to use it to prove my action on D2 and to use the N0 action as an established pattern.

Quote
Yes probably, though I think a lot of the wincons will be more difficult to achieve as the default wincon.
I don't entirely agree, based on what I saw during setup. But that's something I can't give specifics on due to the rules. Is your thought from similar observations, or just intuition?

Quote
Very likely possibility, which is probably why we shouldn't share wincons. Otherwise soon-to-be-lynched mafia might try to strike up a deal if they know the details behind a town player's secondary wincon.
I agree, but the problem is that we only have one mislynch and can't afford to lynch a rogue townie, unless a mafioso also goes rogue, which makes this whole setup a headache-inducing prisoner's dilemma for me. A point in favour of sharing wincons is that it proves one's alignment to the wincon's creator, though.

IcyTea, you a fruit vendor equivalent?
Yes, of sorts. I expected you to be subtler about it until confirming my action became relevant, but no matter.

Holy prison dilemma batman!

This is a fun question but I don't get your angle here.
For your part, as you're a highly analytical player, I want to know what you think of the highly non-standard team dynamic in this game. Would you agree that when each player of each team is capable of both individual and team victory, the scumteam requires a higher level of trust between each other than usual? Similarly, how high do you consider the risk that a core town player suddenly turns third-party and decides to join the mafia?

If it was in Pathfinder, it could be a Ring of Arcane Mark. In 5e it doesn't work as well, since that effect is moved to Prestidigitation and only has a duration of 1 hour, rather than permanent.
