You seem very fixated on this Hydraform business when it has nothing to do with finding who the mafia are.
It has to do with making sure the town investigator doesn't accidentally give false information to the town.

LuckyOwl used his action on TricMagic, which secondarily investigated IcyTea, which applied some sort of ability grafting to both of them.
This matches what I've seen from my point of view.

This also put you in a spotlight because I gave you a copy of my ability ontop of your 'hydraform' which I already said many post ago.
Ah, I see what's happened. You copied one of my abilities, but it was renamed in the process. "Hydraform" must be just some random name webadict gave it so you wouldn't get too much information about my role. Presumably, your version of the ability you gave me isn't named after song lyrics?

Luckyowl, in all that nonsense, managed to (probably accidentally) claim one of their abilities to me. The ability isn't of a kind that makes sense for solo players like SKs to have, but would fit town and mafia equally.
Looked back and apparently I did say it. I was referring to the ability that I figured out Luckyowl must have, not to any of my own abilities.

What's a sqaud modifier?
That's what my sqaud modifier picked up when I used my action on TricMagic. If it's not your ability then I guess it hints your role to me. So are you a Hydra?
If I tell the truth, I give scum an information advantage against me. If I lie, I damage the picture town is trying to build. Unless there's a good reason that will give town a greater advantage, I dismiss questions like this as a matter of course.
You're learning fast. The reason that I refuse to answer some questions is that this is a public thread that scum is reading as well. There are a few things I know that scum don't know, such as what my abilities do. However, information that scum does have, such as what abilities they have used on me, is safe to say publicly. When you make a claim of having performed an action, it's to the town's advantage to know exactly how the ability works, and you need to decide yourself whether that advantage is greater than the advantage scum gain from knowing how the ability works.

Was this an ability you used, or an ability that was used on you?

Whoever you heard that from, isn't me. If you're in some kind of secret chat, whoever is claiming to be me is an imposter.

IcyTea31, please tell me why you say this specifically.
Because I believe Luckyowl is town and isn't lying about it, but I don't have an ability named Hydraform and I haven't said "it can help both Mafia and town". Therefore, LO is chatting with someone who's claiming to be me.

Luckyowl: What else have "I" said to you?

IcyTea31: Could you explain what your Hydraform ability do? You don't have to go in details just give us a skeletal overview on it. You said it can help both Mafia and town. If that's correct, in what way can it help town? In what way can it help Mafia?

I don't have an ability by that name.

I don't have any ability to read their alignment because they've been focused exclusively on drawing attention to themselves without drawing much by way of conclusions.
I mean, you're the one who told me to go to sleep after spending a whole night doing just that. You're the one who asked me for a reads list, and I delivered. You didn't get anything from that?

If I read it right your case on Toaster is that he voted you and then didn't do the work to eventually conclude you're town. Do I have that right?

How is your case on Toaster not an elaborate OMGUS?
Because he's not willing to engage with me about his vote, despite effort on my part. Good town don't say "you're scum, discussion over," because they know they might be wrong, and discussing the matter is the best way to become certain. Scum already know their target is town, so they don't care about the discussion.

In other words, if he's town and does the work, he'll conclude I'm town, and wants do it to avoid a mislynch. If he's scum, he already knows I'm town and has no reason to do the work.

Yeah, but do you have any reason at all to believe it'd be different if he was scum or third party?
Not really. The enthusiasm and openness he's showing is a good look, but that's pure gut.

All I can really say is wait till night to off me, since I can then make the No Bonk Badge available, as well as buy it and send it to another person.
I thought you said you needed to kill me to do that?

Oh.  Well, I did respond to that post here.  Did you want more?   Like I said, I'm looking at people besides you.  I like to ask lots of questions, and I'm doing that to a broad spectrum of people.

And I guess I understand what you're saying in the latter half, but until I'm convinced 100% a player is town (which may never happen), they're not completely off the hook.
The issue is that you're not trying to improve your reads after first impressions, to get closer to that 100% certainty someone is town (or scum).

You asked me earlier for whom I suspect, and I reposted my reads list. Do you agree with my analyses? What information were you seeking to receive from it?

Quote
I no longer find you the scummiest, for example; like I said, Tric's anti-town mindset got my vote onto him.  I certainly wouldn't cry if you were lynched, but I have a better choice.
You haven't played with Tric before. If you had, you'd know that he always gets obsessed with whatever the special mechanics of the setup happen to be, regardless of alignment. As far as I can tell, he honestly believes that what he's saying is what the town wants to hear. The mindset is anti-town, but it's also town!Tric.

Could you please point me to what I missed from you?  I'm not seeing it.
Roles might not be alignment-indicative, but I'll say the role name is a really damning one.
That bit I underlined: you really think a role name a player submitted before the game started is going to have any influence on their alignment?
This was a breadcrumb to tell that I knew what was in the contract before its real text was posted, because the name in question literally is damning. If you read the whole sentence, you'd know I don't. Is looking for "slips" all you do on D1?

In fact, if you care who I suspect and where my vote is so much, let's put it on you: Toaster. If you're not going to develop your cases to ascertain their truths and don't even care about figuring out factual matters, I don't see how your mindset is in anyway town-sided.

IcyTea:
And "protected by the fact of being town" makes no sense.
Only if you don't care about whether I factually am town or not. Which a town player should.
I'm going to need you to explain that statement to me then, because I still don't understand what you're getting at here.

If the fact that your current target is town means nothing to you, you're scum, plain and simple.

IcyTea31 why sk anyway? It doesn't seem to me like it'd be very common at all that the ability would kill anyone or that it's so strong that a scumteam couldn't have it. I'm assuming bonus wincons are just a thing since I have one, and I assume that applies to the scumteam as well if there is one, so I can easily see like a 'win with scum or collect this many contracts' sort of situation  being true.
If I were designing a game, I wouldn't give mafia even the potential to perform three kills in a single day-night cycle, alongside all the abilities of their buddies. This is outguessing the mod, of course, and there are other explanations, but SK seems the most probable. Well, until the mod just confirmed that there is a 4-man scumteam, which heavily reduces the odds of there being very many third parties.

I do agree Toony is acting "town" and not town, and not actually putting much thought into scumhunting, but I'll want a response from Toaster first.

Anyone, I've been trying to pay attention but I think I missed an important bit of info. I know we all have currency. Is there only one badge that can be bought or multiple? Clue me in kids.
Right now there's one for sale that gives an action priority, but apparently later more will be added to the selection.
