Why is that? There are so many uses for magic, like, for instance, healing magic, making magical materials that glow and give pleasant thoughts, powerfull spells to move mountains, making magical musical instruments that would play on their own and delight everyone hearing them.
I can come up with tons of non-combative uses of magic)
