Ive seen it work, 40 dorfs vs a titan, minimal losses for the dorfs.

If you give them mass produced weapons and shields they become quite effective.

There was a bug about candy thread not being stored alone, only with other kinds of thread. It caused lots of cancelations from the workshop.
I think it hasnt been fixed yet.

Remember how the new pulping system was supposed to make the undead easier to kill, but they became nearly invincible?
What about the new stealth system that was meant to make hidding harder, but then you could murder people while they narrate it?

Dwarves dont count lost limb as wounds, because wounds are on body parts. Old known bug, they dont realize they have a hole where the arm was.
The good news is that the hole wont get infected because no wound.

If I understand correctly, he doesn't want it known and/or remembered as "that game where you can grab somebody's weiner and yank it off."
It would be remembered like that only if nothing more interesting happened in game. I think we all will agree that DF has way, way more depth than that.

And you can always have just non-descript "genitalia" body part (external in males, internal in females). Making this cyan would make animal/sentient infertile. Animal males (especially cats) can be made cyan there in butchery. Presto, cat population control without killing them and pissing off dwarven cat ladies.

-We need these cats sterilized, where is Urist McSurgeon?
-Dont bother him with that! He's too busy milling around and letting people rot in the hospital to do surgery on some pesky cats.
-But we need to keep the cat population under control, and we cant kill them, Urist McCatLover would go bersek.
-Well, we could tell Urist McButcher there is a new source of meatba-
