Why do dwarven children never pick up all those dead people's clothes they claim for themselves?
They realize it's smelly and covered in blood and decide they don't want it anymore.

How does a dwarf know if an item is claimed? (I don't see your name on it, Urist!)

The odds of being encased in ice at the same time a shark attacks you, I would consider, miniscule and if it happened to you, savescum is legitimate.
Sharks have nothing to do with it. If you're swimming in the ocean and it freezes, then logically you should be frozen with it, even in quick travel.

If we were to get multi-z'd buildings at some point, that is we could have a single scaffolding building that could span several tiles both up and to the sides, that would help a lot. Then you could both set it up and tear it down as a single construction. Of course it would have to be limited as mentioned to avoid any kind of exploits. I'm not sure if moving fortress parts will involve a system being implemented to allow for something like this, if so that'd be great.
We're getting multi-tile trees next update that can be chopped down from their base. Shouldn't be to difficult to adapt.

(The quest items for that one are the teeth, unfortunately. The Skyrim one has you collecting pelts.)

It strikes me that multi-tile megabeasts would be fairly easily defended against by corridors slightly narrower than said creatures.  Unless we had some actual motivation to make corridors more than 1 tile wide, which (as far as I know) doesn't currently exist in-game.
I think traffic jams give plenty of incentive to make large corridors on the x-y plane, but there is no incentive to extend them onto the z plane, which I think is the real problem. Unless multi-tile megabeasts would be hugely flat and squat.
Won't be able to get through doorways, though.

So instead of viewing the pages you need individually, you want to download a huge PDF consisting of likely thousands of pages (that won't update) instead? Not to mention that PDFs are probably larger than plain HTML. You might be looking at a several hundred gigabyte download. That sounds way worse.

What I'd suggest instead is finding some way of caching your frequently viewed pages and viewing them offline.

Some nice things in there - the hauling upgrades sound GREAT, for instance.

They like to drag important (and heavy, in the case of weapon bins,) stuff away from stockpiles in order to fetch a single item. You have to mess with stockpile links to work around it.

The playable kobolds also have a reaction to alcohol, though I'm not sure if ingested syndromes can be transmitted through roasts.
You'd think the alcohol would be cooked off, at least IRL.
