i would like to report a bug

when i sort by a skill or role it gets stuck and i can't switch back to sort by name (i can switch to sorting by a different role or skill though)
can duplicate this bug on demand (allways happens)

also it sometimes crashes and once i was not able to change a dwarfs labors (yes he was not a child i had changed his labors successfully before)
but i could not duplicate this bug

the sorting bug makes it so that if i want to sort the dwarfs by how much they fit the mechanics role i will have to close and reopen the tab to get the sort by name back

OK. i will switch to the official r2 version once i find out how to modifiy it so that it has the bug fixes that i want. i think i just need to copy the "Dwarf fortress.exe" and some of the scripts.

i'm using the version of dfhack included in http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=7207
i says its dfhack 0.34.11 r2 but has many differences from the version included in official dfhack r2 release

i first thought that it was meant dfhack r2 since this was relesed before the official dfhack r2 relese and it calls itself dfhack r2

so is this an old custom version of dfhack r2 or a beta version of dfhack r2.5?

the internal documention for both versions only say that its version r2

some clarification is wanted?

EDIT: who made this version. was it QUIETUST or thistleknot. the fixes and patches are credited but the version of dfhack isn't?

i'm having a similar problem but i think its because i'm using the dfhack version included in http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=7207 Win 0.34.11 SDL with applied binary patches v2

i want to have both the interface mods and the bug fix but they seem to use different versions of dfhack r2

hope this can be fixed or do i need to wait for the official release of this version of dfhack and the new version of this plugin after that

EDIT: found out that its an old version of dfhack r2 (can't see internal version numbers so no way to tell which version is newer) so that is the problem. will switch over to official version when i find out how to copy the scripts and plugins that i am using over.

had this happen to me too.
also had some a dwarf on a ledge through my constructed wall of my defense tower. this was after it was built and walled off not the wrong side of the wall problem i also had (and fixed). had to deconstruct the wall or build stairs to get my mason out so i could get back to building my floor.

Hello Forum.

I would like to request a custom world.

I would like:
3-6 by 3-6 (25 tiles max)

tropic forest (moist broad-leaf preferred but any if fine)
mountain or temperate forest as other biome (less important but still highly preferred)
many biomes preferred but 2 is ok
i like trees for my carpenter and tigers for animal trainer
no evil (good is ok)
tropic forest is savage

river (brook or stream)
a nice cliff or mountain to carve a fortress into
sand (even tiles from removing ramps are fine)
lots of coal or shallow magma (less than 10z from surface) or volcano (any of these will work, 2 of them will be great but is asking too much)

at least 10z levels till cavern from top of mountain/cliff (for fortress)
lots of iron ore
lots of flux less than 10z down
some soil for farms doesn't need to be full layer but multi layers are preferred for storage.

only need world seed. will mod and regen with breeding dragons/rocs and block workshop and other minor mods to animal frequency

a medium or large world is preferred so other embark sites in same world when i'm done with this fort

if its too hard to gen this i can loose the cliffs or mountain.

hope this isn't asking too much but seeing the advanced state of flat volcano !!SCIENCE!! i think this should be easy for someone who mastered worldgen
