I always liked the mook bashing in zelda games more than the puzzles. The fights in zelda were always more entertaining than just stab this thing til it dies. And not just the bosses either. You had Darknuts that would raise and lower their shield to block your attacks, turtles that needed knocked on their backs to be harmed, Other darknuts that you have to cut off the straps of their armor on their backs, mobs you had to pounce and bite all at the same time or they would rez...
I really love fighting stuff in zelda games. I kinda wish zelda games would implement an optional dungeon or two with no puzzles, just monsters in interesting combinations. I remember wind waker had something like that, more zelda games should have it.
...Unfortunately while dynasty warriors games do scratch a particular itch, I'm not convinced the combat will be anywhere near the same as a proper zelda game.
Wind Waker had the charming feature of like, affecting the music every time you got a hit in on an enemy.
