DF Modding / Question and a possible request.
« on: February 26, 2013, 03:11:01 pm »
Okay, so......
Can we make a creature that can SURVIVE a beheading? And still have vision? I assume to do that you would have to give it a brain, and put in somewhere else....Now, where is the most protected spot on ANYONE?
Or, we could just give it multiple heads........Hey, I got an idea!

We need either a (senitent/playable) Creature that can survive a beheading, and/or a (senitent/playable) hydra-man. That spits acid.
Anyone up for it? I can't do it, as i can mod.....
DAMN MY INCOMPETENCE!

"The beak dog shakes you around by the torso and the severed part sails off in an arc!
The torso has been ripped away and remains in the beak dog's grip!
You have been struck down."
I thought the torso is the only thing that cant be ripped off the body, since it is the main bodypart.
It is.
But remember, in DF, as long as its !!FUN!! then its possible.
also, im think it IS possible, at least in real life. Its like taking all of your limbs off, but the ALTERNATIVE route!
(Including the head)

I has a prob, in fort mode.
Well, more like a question. What does scavenging scrap fall under in the labors list? And I made the one from the scrapyard, as NO ONE IS DOING IT.

Hey, I just thought of something.....
What if the elves were actually LIKEABLE at one point, but now they ate some permashrooms, and now they are high forever.....

Two in specific come to mind:

I fought through a bandit camp with a new adventurer, and managed not to be injured.  The leader was still alive though, and we engaged in a long, long duel, in which neither of us were harmed for a long time.  Eventually, I stabbed her in the chest, and she stabbed me in the foot.  I couldn't walk, and she started running away.  Left with no other options, I threw my knife, and it lodged in her ankle.  She gave into pain and I crawled up and stabbed her.

The other was in a keep, I was standing on one of those balcony-rings, with goblins on both sides.  I killed one, but then I was pushed off the side by the other.  I was expecting crippling injuries, but I landed on the chieftess, killing her.  I still died, to her minions, but it was awesome.
"Ugh. what is taking them so long, I mean, its one- Hey, what is that? OHGODWH-"
*THUMWP*
"bitch please"

You know what? I'd love to burst all your bubbles at once, just because it amuses me!

In DF, creatures can have the chance to dodge projectiles, which the leader did. One of the options they have to dodge into can be the next one the projectile enters. Which is what the leader chose. So, he jumped backwards to escape the rock, but only delayed the inevitable by one tick because he was still dodging into the way of the projectile. Technically, he could have dodged that too, I think.
You dirty prick. My imagination........Its all over the floor.
