Hey FFS, a quick boot of Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 reveals that slimes have the critical massacre trait, which doubles their chances of critically hitting. Can Slog has? Crits on 19 and 20 would be nice...    (Though I doubt Slog'll be given a free buff. Poor guy.)

If Slog eats a Mushroom and it makes him bigger... doesn't that make him a King Slime?

King Slime's have healing magic which is something we could use. All hail King Slog!

There's a very small chance of that, king slimes take like 8 slimes to form and aren't actually the same creature as normal slimes. Plus the mushroom is temporary, but...

Going by the Dragon Quest: Monsters series, regular slimes have the slimer skill set which grants heal immediately after frizz. We should see if we can find a seed of skill in the greens, it'd give enough skill points for Slog to learn heal.

EDIT: Actually, maybe we could use something else? We never checked to see if class slots in the inventory had menus, perhaps we can invest in them to learn class skills?

If Polaris is as tough as the drones, or likely tougher, we need to be better at combat than we are to stand a chance. Instead, let's try an environment-abuse strategy for now.

Riltia: Move behind Polaris. Set up Pink Minus Pawn behind Polaris.
Slog: Move between Polaris and Ciro to take up 'provide defensive benefit to Ciro' duties. Distract Polaris with pretty lights.
Ciro: Push Purple Minus Pawn towards Polaris.
Slog: Get out of the way.
Riltia and Ciro: Execute Dual Tech: Negative Sandwich! (Push Minus Pawns into Polaris from both sides until he completes the circuit, electrocuting him.)

We don't know that these actually have charge, it may have been a puzzle mechanic. In addition, some one based upon the poles of electromagnetism is likely to resist elec.

Do you honestly think our half brain dead pet slime is going to hand over his food though? I'm playing for the inevitability that he wants to actually eat his meal he got as payment. Maybe I'm keeping too in character with him though. Regardless, you can't stay mad at him! He doesn't need to be effective to be lovably bumbling.

Brawler mouse, that is a really bad idea.

Considering that our blood mage could REALLY use healing so she isn't gonna fall to any hits that land on her.

I don't know... Slog solved the puzzle, and seems to be pretty much the most competent. I think that with the buff and surprise bonus he'd probably have a pretty good positional bonus. Not to mention that if Polaris turns focus to him, Riltia may be able to get off an opportunity attack of some sort with another positional bonus. Besides, unless she's cleft in twain again, she should be able to stabilize if she goes down. All in all, I think a Slog surprise attack would do more good in keeping his focus off of Ciro. If she heals herself, it'll probably draw his attention, what with her being GIANT and all.

Slog: Continue to be the best at puzzles, find the obvious solution.

(If anyone can figure out what to do in this situation, it's Slog. The guy is a freaking genius!)

Uh, what? Who is Proxxy and why talk to their assistant? That hardly seems relevant...
