As far as i remember Toady stated that in future in-game languages will have procgenerated differences in worlds. That will make current state of dwarven lang (including lyrics) mere a reference of old times. That was one of the reasons the project of creating actual dwarven here on forum halted and eventually died.

As multithreading appeared to be quite possible and implementable instead of being "too hard", may be another long wanted feature is also not so impossible? I mean multiplayer. There are a lot of turn based games with simultaneous MP like Crusader Kings or Rimworld which is basically DF for casuals, it has a mod that adds pretty decent multiplayer experience without issues.

Sorry for the noob question, i've played classic DF for a little bit and there you had the elevation map by pressing tab but I can't find it's equivalent on steam edition's DF. Is it "show elevation" or "show cliffs/grade"? Because the world seems to be all flat in both of these option. What's the difference between them?

"show cliffs/grade" shows inclination of a tile. The more it "/" the bigger inclination is. The more it "-" the flatter surface is.

You can see things that have been reported to the mayor whether true or not... And there's no way to tell the difference between reality and one or other of mistaken observations, deliberate lies, fabulations or just out-of-datedness.

This sounds interesting TBH. Granted, there should be ways that the player can gradually work out the true information from the false (perhaps with varying and/or customizable difficulty levels).
It should depend on how high the mayor's liar skill is, if it is legendary you will never be able to what's real and what's fake.
Or the better liar mayor is the better he can tell who is liing to him. But the info he gives to a player depends on mayors loyalty to the player. And it depends on mayors rooms value. So you have to constantly please him to get best data

With Toady saying they are going to pay more attention to bugs and UI/UX - i think M&M is to be moved to 2027

Stress system in the game is so connected to everything that you may say it's allways working fine and broken at the same time. Toady made numerous attempts to adjust it or completely rewrite but there are always some edge cases (like orphans missing their parents).
Waterfalls making everyone happy is probably a matter of balace.
Unobtainable needs? Like in real life something cannot be obtained even if we really want it. So i think it's just part of the game. One cannot make everyone happy.
