(A-a-a-action Redux!)
The Duke paced around his central office pondering a dilemma. With the destruction of Verona the coffers are now losing gold but the people are asking for an expanded military to beat back the raiders. Coming to a tough decision, he sits down and starts writing some letters.
Use 2 PC to increase might by 2.
Send a letter to the King of Primeria asking if they would like to make a defensive alliance in case the Jarls come down to raid us.
Edit: I also use my 4 unassigned Influence to increase the clout of the Technocrats by 1.

(I would still like to know exactly how much Influence is needed to make an AI nation friendlier to me.)

(Blegh, that event actually hurts me alot. Shoulda replaced one of those social infs with econ.
Also, how much clout do the NPC nations have? Do they just have the full 6 clout their infrastructure give them?)

Spend 2 PC to make 2 Econ Infrastructures. Expand the Military by 2 Might.
Edit: I'm under the impression it's 1 per infrastructure. If I'm wrong them I'm in a pretty bad spot.

Thing is, There is most definitely going to be a catastrophe, and no one is getting out of this in as good of a condition they came in in.

Honestly if by some unfathomable miracle there are still players standing at the end of this, I'll probably consent to dividing what's in the pot equally to all players.

(Really? Didn't see anything in the rules about that. If that's really the case I build those things before making the bet.
Also is that a fold-fold where I have to remake my proposal or are you staying in?
Because if you're not folding I'm not budging. It's that proposal or everyone in dies.)

Unnacceptable! I will not pull back and allow you to profit from what is rightfully mine. I will fold with what i came in with and no less.
What you came in with would mean that others lose due to the nature of military bids.

I will not allow you to try to strongarm the monarchy of panspacia. Be prepared to meet the entirety of my forces if you attempt this.
Having you bring out the entirety of your forces is the whole point of a forced bid. No matter what you will not gain back what you put in, all you can do now is choose how much you lose. You can accept and regain some losses, fold and lose nothing else, or reject and lose everything.
