From the sound of it, you guys are way more learned than I in the running of a Fort.
I just hope my turn goes relatively quietly...

Neglected? If I remember correctly the ctrl+a attacks were pretty fleshed out.
Yeah just checked. Although the crafting and such isnt tht great, having different attacks is nice. Although they are kind of easy to do.

Ragnar? Like Ragnar the Red? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMMm7T9C790

Nope, mine comes from an example encounter in the old 2nd edition AD&D; but since Ragnar is a Nordic name...
So far he's killed a vampire single-handedly and a demonica (?).

Hey Deon, took my semi-internet a while but I got it...a while ago...many hours ago...
Now starts the adventures of Ragnar...

Eh, I now cant be bothered.

Now I understand why you were trying to coerce me into playing Genesis on the Fallout Mod page Deon...

From the background of the rp it might not be worth doing the indpendant mining company. The fees, tarrifs and such were enough to make legitimate people turn to piracy in the first place. Having an extra ship is ok, but that'd mean eitehr splitting up PCs and/or NPCs or hiring more crew to outfit the other ship, which would cost more money. I'm tempted to agree with turning the otehr ship into an auxiliary combat ship and additional cargo hauler, but we don't know that much about it. I have a sinking suspicion that the ship is stolen or something similar.

I'll just sit here, think about what we should do with the pirates and their vessel and drum my fingers on the table as my little plot hook goes partially ignored...

Those who requested citizens have been citizened.

Burchalka got a farmer, CptCrunchy got a high master woodcrafter, and Cognitive Dissonance got a metal smith/furnace operator.

Dude, you didn't "revive" me!  :(
Really slow? Thats not much FUN...

Heh, I've probably caught you in transit Deon. I'm pulling an all nighter myself.
Fallout is pretty Adventure Mode ready as it is, although it does very much capture the "rogue-like" style of gaming rather than the other mods I've played. I might go and give Genesis a try.

So, I'm playing Fortress Mode and every few migrant groups a Trader walks onto the map. A lone trader, and he just stands one square away from the edge of the map. Thing is, I think he has goods or something as I've seen some goods flagged as "don't touch" without me dumping them.

Ah, I see it now. Never really played much of Genesis, and as I've probably said before I enjoy Adventurer Mode a lot more than Fortress mode - except for this one time I made a Dark Elven Gulag...oh that was fun.  :)
*ahem*
Now, back on topic...

Genesis has a manual? This I did not know.

Lucas was glad to remove the space suit, battle armour...whatever it was when he was "safely" back on the Salvation. The vessel had made the jump just after the pirate’s vessel, but his retreat was hasty and a skeleton crew composed of gun-point pirates - although at the time he did not know that - and some of the boarding party were still on the other vessel. From the talk he could gather from the other crew members who had returned he picked up that there were quite a few pirate captives on-board the pirate’s vessel. Good, at least they might be able to get a little bounty money if the Government didn't act all high-and-mighty that they were "all out of credits."

When they had docked at a nearby station was the first and only chance Lucas could use to look over the captured pirates. Cuffed with makeshift materials, the pirates were still held at gun point to a degree by the soldiers of the Salvation. Lucas just had a casual glance at them before he stopping dead in his tracks. The pirate he had just looked at had quickly turned away, but there was no mistaking it. He walked up to the pirate and forced him to look at him. Sure, there were a few more scars and ten years’ worth of grime and age, but he was certain...
"Max? Max Stormberg?" The man before him flashed Lucas a weak smile, glancing around at the armed personal surrounding him.
"Lucas, I thought that was your voice earlier. Last time we talked was ten years ago; you, me, and Jessica..." Lucas shot the man a hard look, causing him to fall silent.

There was only one thing that rang in Lucas' mind at that moment - things were about to get a somewhat worse, but if it was for Lucas or for his old companion...

Just so I know a few other recipes, do you mind telling me a few others? I haven't grown yams so dont have yam vodka.

With everyone discussing successful forts, I have to say I haven't really done very much in the way of sci-fi...
Yeah, I know its a little sad but hey, I'm planning on doing more stuff...
So I'm going to ask but is Vodka made from potatoes? I've been having a few brewers refuse to make vodka when I have quite a lot of pototoes lying around the Vault.

don't have enough free time in the near future to join the game...but I would like a Vault Dweller to be named after me...but only if you promise they will die horribly.

Oh, and it looks like mediafire is blocking the file for containing "copyrighted material: A Kiss to Build a Dream On, by Louis Armstrong"
Oh, poop. Well its just the latest version of the Fallout mod with Dwarf Therapist included, you can just download those two.
Don't use Mediafire, use DFFD! Also we are not playing "the latest version of Fallout mod", it's a custom install :D.

Then I shall replace the starting music when it is my turn because I can!
 ;D

Playing the Fallout mod for the first time. Spawned with the Real World parameters (or whatever they were called) and this was the first person I spoke to.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

How should I pronounce that?

I had a Ghoul Legendary Gunman/Gunfighter called "Magician Tempest". That was his first name - and he stayed with Boxcar Joe until the very end (see the Post-War Series "The Adventures of Boxcar Joe and his Ghoul Manservent Magician Tempest" now becoming a radio drama coming to a radio near you!)
