I just realized how not-depressed and how functional I am.
creeps up on you hey
I'm kind of bummed that I didn't actually solve anything, my problems just went away on their own. Makes it a bit hard to know how to help other people who are going through what I went through. :v

But hey, I guess I shouldn't dissect the gift horse and analyze its steaming entrails.
I don't know your life, but could it be a seasonal disorder or something? Those are rather common where I live, so my mind kinda went to that. It's like, they fuck with your sleep schedule/your working ability/your energy/whatever, then you screw up a bunch of things because of that, which only exacerbates the problem, and so forth. And sometimes they just go away on their own, too.

hump a stranger, hug a friend, talk to a pillow
oh well, 1 out of 3 is still 0.3(3), amirite

...Just now I heard this weirdly echo'd laugh, which almost sounded like a happy banshee.  Guess someone's partying.
I've read creepypastas that started exactly like this.

E: Come to think of it, I have also seen enough hentai to know where this is going.

You know. Whichever.

Is it not written, "Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons"?

Spill the beans, pops. The things thine eyes have seen - what are they?

Anyway, one thing about сука блять, no real Slav would use those words in that combination. сука when translated literally means bitch, but it's usage is more along the likes of fuck. блять is actually a very weak swear word and is the equivalent of saying damn. So when you say them together, you get "fuck damn!" and a very confused crowd as people try to figure out що в бані ти тілки що сказав.
Where do you get that from? I am definitely a real Slav, and I use it sometimes, and hear it used all the time, albeit as a prelude to more swearing. And I dare say that if my grandmother heard me use блять/блядь as a "weak swear word", in the line of чёрт or дерьмо, she would kick my ass so hard her great-grandchildren would feel it.
Maybe it's different for Ukrainians (assuming you're one by that bit at the end of your post, correct me if I'm wrong), but from a Russian standpoint there's nothing wrong with сука блять.

I would kinda treat it as an announcement or introductory construction to a longer tirade? Like, if you just say сука, with a sort of hiss at the start, that means you've witnessed something low or unsightly, like your roommate stealing your food from the fridge or something. If you say блять (really quickly), that means something unexpected happened - like stepping on a Lego, for example. And if you say сука блядь (yelling, basically), this means something has really gotten to you by being both shocking and low, like getting rear-ended by somebody else's car, and you now intend to get out of your own car with a baseball bat and smash their windows while spewing a continuous stream of invective.

Some scammer keeps calling my wife. I need harsh insults in Russian and other Slavic languages please. Pm them to me with phonetic pronunciations.
Anyway, if you still need insults, I'd be happy to help. I could maybe record some on Vocaroo, or find some dictionary that has recordings of words...

On an unrelated topic, thank bird jayzus for Andrew Price, AKA BlenderGuru, AKA based blender buddha.
His tutorials are the best. He sorta kinda uses them to market some of his stuff sometimes, but it doesn't detract from their educational value in the slightest.
Him and Gleb Alexandrov are basically the Sts. Cyrill and Methodius of Blender, bringing the light of CG art to the unwashed savage illiterate masses. Amen and fuckin' hallelujah.

I made a concrete floor. It has grooves. And so do I, apparently.

I've finally made my way back here. I don't really know what else to say, other than I wish it could have been sooner.
Posting from a DS so I can't do a whole lot right now, but I'll see if I can at least try to make semi-regular checks to here at the very least.
Oh hey! I actually remember you, unlike everybody else who occasionally drops by with an "I'm back". Welcome back!

I adopted an undercut sort of thing recently, where my hair is long but the sides of my head are cropped short. Really fond of it so far - the hair that normally grows on my temples is kinda stupid-looking in that it's curly and refuses to grow longer than ~5cm, which makes it impossible to tidy into a braid or ponytail. Never really realized how much it bugged me until I got rid of it.

Y'all need to stop watching me eat bananas, then.

Also adding salt does not make the water boil faster. That is an old wives tale.
Technically adding salt does make water boil faster, since it lowers the boiling point. It's just that:
1) You're noodles won't cook faster because the boiling point is a lower temperature.
2) The amount of salt needed to make an appreciable difference would make everything really, really salty. :P

So not so much of a straight out lie, as just an extreme exaggeration.
Isnt it the other way around? IIRC Salt in water raises the boiling point
Right, it does. At dT = K*C, where K is the ebulioscopic constant of water (0.52), and C is the molality (moles/1000g of solvent) of solvate (I hope that's the right word; in this case, it's salt).

Nah, champagne is for underestimating the combination of alcohol with carbonation and accidentally getting smashed off your tits.
At least that's what people seem to do with it all the time.

That's why I never got Americans and mouthwash. I mean, if I want my teeth to be clean, I'll brush them. If I want to gargle something smelly and antiseptic, I'll gargle some rum for the same effect, but I can actually drink it too.
What is the selling point of mouthwash?

I've always liked "partner" for its no-nonsense tone and general non-descriptiveness. I suppose somebody else might dislike it for those same properties. Eh, to each their own and whatever.

There's a compulsory commerce course you have to take to major in computer science. It looks incredibly uninspiring so far, and has no relevance at all to my interests in computing.
Oh hey, we had one of those too - maybe mostly because our uni is technically (formerly?) an economics one, so I think everybody gets one. It was taught by a lady who seemed a bit grumpy at having to waste her time on non-Econ majors. I think they drew straws for it or something.
I recommend just focusing on the math. It's good math, Bront.
