Gant and Viverde------------------
Gant Initiative: 11
Ogryn Initiative: 7+3=10
Viverde Initiative: 6

Tristan is the first to react, blasting the Ogryn with his hellgun. The shot takes off an ear and immolates half of her hair, but doesn't seem to faze her much. [4 Damage]. The Ogryn closes the distance between her and the commissar with two loping strides, swinging her cleaver at him sidelong as she comes.
Ogryn WS roll:89
She misses him entirely, not even scratching him. He retaliates with two point-blank bolt rounds, hitting her in the left foot [6 Damage][8 Damage][RIGHTEOUS FUREH:5] and removing it in a spray of squishy bits.

Diego, Amalia, Amets-------------------------
Diego hastily corrects his aim and fries the fleeing guardsman's foot with with a single beam [4 Damage, 1 Critical]. The man drops to the ground, shrieking "Ah surrender, ah surrender! Please don' kill meh!"
Amalia advances, simultaneously firing at the next man in line and not hitting much of anything, except maybe a ceiling beam somewhere.
Amets hits him pretty square in the back, though, making him squeal like a piggy. There's a slight smell of roasting bacon. [Damage 10-3=7]

Bartolomeu is rather understandably pissed off at the situation and offers the Tamerians two options: stop and live or keep running and die. "Anyone who does not want to be killed, stop right now!" he roars with his commissariat-standard commanding/threatening voice. Of course, executing them means actually getting some good shots at them first.

Keep running after them.
Intimidate roll: 29 against a target of 28+20=48 (2 degrees)
Enemy willpower roll: [20 (1 degree), 78, 49]

The presence of an Imperial commissar seems to send the Tamerians into some sort of shock-induced stupor - the one whom Amets shot even drops to the floor, assuming a fetal position. You hear a faint "We dun frakked up now..." from him, and then he becomes still as if thinking your vision is based on movement.
The only one of them who retains some sort of dignity, insofar as they have any, is a Ratling with a ridiculous set of sideburns. He addresses you as he drops his pistol to the floor and raises his hands.
"Yer pardon, commissar, sah. Me an' the boys were jus' following orders."

Look around for a firearm.
Awareness:14, target of 13
There doesn't appear to be one in the immediate vicinity. You could try to force one of the lockers, probably.

Emil wakes up and pokes his head outside the tent to take a look around.

There's a trooper milling about outside, and no sign of your platoon. Straining your memory briefly, you recognize the man as Trooper Picano, a man whose faith is matched only by his complete lack of a spine.

Father Emil? It's... I... I have a confession to make, if you can spare a minute of your time. My conscience weighs heavy on my shoulders.

In what book he's found that phrase, Emperor only knows.

1547
By the way, can we make gear acquisition tests while onboard?
Technically. What, right now?

1548
DigitalHellhound: In that situation, if you wanted to you could have used full-auto burst and half action aim. Full-Auto Burst will give you a -10 to BS but will net you a hit for every degree of success you have on the roll, with a close range bonus you should still manage a +10 to BS with the bonus from shooting a hulking target you should have a +20 to BS that route. Unless you manage to kill the Ogryn now that is still a fairly valid plan :v
Make that point-blank range, seeing as how the Ogryn rolled 10 on init and gets to attack first. That's a whopping +40 BS.
If you want to do this, you can keep your result of 21 for the BS test.

Wait, no, +50. But you still get only two hits since the bolt pistol's RoF is 2.

1549
And those guardsmen me and Amets are shooting have TB 3, right?
That is so.

Ah, damn. Removing the second roll and making it a Half-Action Aim.
I made the rest of your rolls already, based on the result of the first one.

Amalia is taking a Half Action to move at the Tameriand and a Half Action to Standard Attack them, by the way.
'Kay.

1550
It has no armour right?

Damage.
1d10+4=11

Damage = 11
It also has a TB of 7. Does a weapon's Pen score affect TB damage reduction?

I've heard that there's some form of OCD that makes you want to kill everyone. It's possible I have it, I'm not sure. While I was at one of my friend's places practicing archery with him, I started considering shooting him and killing him. Of course, I'd never do that, because he's probably one of my best friends and that's a terrible thing to do, but I still 'wanted' to. The best way I can describe the feeling is a sort of curiosity.
Nah, man, I don't think that's OCD - I'm pretty sure everybody has these sorts of moments (or I'm fucked up. Whatever). In my experience, and as far as I've heard, feelings of morbid curiosity about things you definitely shouldn't do are rather commonplace.
For me it's usually more like "Oh look, the train's coming. I wonder what would I feel if I leaned forward now..?" than "I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die" - type shit. But that happens too. I'm fairly convinced it's rather normal, judging by how often I have seen these feelings described in literature and by my friends.

Look, there's even a Wikipedia article!

Quote from: The article
Many people experience the type of bad or unwanted thoughts that people with more troubling intrusive thoughts have, but most people can dismiss these thoughts.[1] For most people, intrusive thoughts are a "fleeting annoyance."[5] Psychologist Stanley Rachman presented a questionnaire to healthy college students and found that virtually all said they had these thoughts from time to time, including thoughts of sexual violence, sexual punishment, "unnatural" sex acts, painful sexual practices, blasphemous or obscene images, thoughts of harming elderly people or someone close to them, violence against animals or towards children, and impulsive or abusive outbursts or utterances.[6] Such bad thoughts are universal among humans, and have "almost certainly always been a part of the human condition".[7]

Can I confess something? I tell you this as an artist, I think you'll understand. Sometimes when I'm driving... on the road at night... I see two headlights coming toward me. Fast. I have this sudden impulse to turn the wheel quickly, head-on into the oncoming car. I can anticipate the explosion. The sound of shattering glass. The... flames rising out of the flowing gasoline.

1552
Pistols. It doesn't look like they were expecting you.

Should I roll the damage?
Yup. Update after that.

1553
Yeah, that's all right.

Hey P. Is yours a called shot? That has additional modifiers associated with it.

((Hi, I've just been reading so far and then I read Powder Miner's latest post. Is it ok in the 40k universe to say the Emperor's name in vain?)
((Yeah, if no Ecclesiarch hears you, and even then you'll probably survive.))

Emil wakes up and pokes his head outside the tent to take a look around.

((Damnit, I was idle because I though nothing important was going on!))
((I figured. Well, I'll find you something to do when I get home- I'm on mobile now.))

1555
Approx. 40 meters to the hindmost one, about 60 to the first.

Eh, I meant volume ounces and weight ounces, apparently. Thanks, anyway.

On the subject of dumplings: pelmeni! You can eat them! With smetana, even! You can freeze them to last longer in the cold Russian wastes! You can put the resulting frozen pelmeni in a sack and use it to defend yourself from the local polar bears! Then make more pelmeni from their meat! All you need is love flour, salt and eggs! Possibly some pepper and an onion! Well, maybe also a laurel leaf for the water.

Sappho, do the Czechs have smetana?

I need some advice from a professional 'Murrican.
If a guy says that a recipe requires

Quote from: guy
12oz water
[...]
18oz flour

Is that fluid ounces or solid ounces? Is the water measured in fluid ounces and the flour in solid ones?

halp

Notice to all: if you wanna shoot something, make a BS roll without being prompted, please.

For example, I'm about to shoot that bastard again, but take aim carefully from a position on one knee. Short distance (+10), Aim (+20). Am I applying modifiers alright?
Yes, though not short distance - he's about thirty-five meters from you now, if you take a full action to aim, he'll be at medium range before you can shoot. Either way you get +20. Okay, this makes me realize I'll have to give you more accurate ranges in the future. Will do.

1559
Waitlist me please, hopefully this sheet should be good also I put links to the rolls in the second spoiler.

Spoiler: Arthogon, 'Boulder' (click to show/hide)

Noted. Eh, I'll put a waitlist in the OP...

Also Pat, if you're on mobile now, I can roll for you.

IMMA FIRING MAH LAZOR

- In the name of Imperium, stop!
Stop and shoot them with lasgun, shoot them in the back until there are no more charges left in charge pack or until they start hiding from my fire. Semi-auto, 3-shot bursts.
BS roll: 43, target of 31+10(half-aim)+10(short range): 1 degree of success
Hit location: body
Damage:7+3-3(TB)=7

Three bright bolts rake the air. Your aim is a bit off: two of them veer slightly to the left. The next, however, grazes the last fleeing man's side, making the skin bubble and fuse with his uniform's fabric. He continues stubbornly onward, though, too strung up on adrenaline to care.

Amets: roll Agility (+10)
1d100=38
1 degree of success.
Instantly recognizing the object as a photon flash grenade, you shut your eyes tightly and cover your face with your robes half a second before it blows. The light is so bright that you can see it through your eyelids even so.
You quickly scramble down to the first floor and the access hatch. Through it you can see four men in drab khakis scrambling away down the aisle. They'll turn round the corner in ten seconds or so, and then you'll have to look for them in the labyrinth of containers.

Amalia gripped her amulet in one hand, sword out in the other, as she continued to pursue whoever/whatever it was she was chasing.
PURSUE! If attacked, use Foreboding, Fettered to dodge.
(Difficult (-10) + Psy Focus (+10) + Fettered PR of 1 (+5) = +5 Perception roll, target 42.)
"Ill go get help..."

"There is no time, pursue them! If you have no weapons then guard this box and shout for us in case you're attacked! And try to draw attention to this problem!" Bartolomeu orders Marn as he starts to give pursuit himself, drawing his sword and bolt pistol - the chainsword had been left behind at his tent, but his homeworld's blade is trusty even if not as damaging as the whirring teeth of a chain weapon.

Give pursuit as well.
The two of you cross safely from one container to the other, then drop down to its first floor beside Amets. You see the four men running away - it's quite clear that they're Tamerians. God-Emperor knows you've seen enough of them in the past month to know. They seem to be putting all their efforts into fleeing. As you watch, Diego takes the hindmost in the side with a las-bolt, sending him stumbling, though not dropping him.

"Yes sir."
Guard I will stand.
The commissar brushes past the box as he leaves, jostling it a bit. You hear a sound like clinking glass.

Viverde drew to a halt and put up a fist. He raised three fingers, gestured for Gant to follow his lead, and let them fall one by one. At the last, he sprung into the corridor to face whatever was behind the corner.

'Identify yourself, in the name of the Emperor!'

Shout. Be ready to fire if attacked, or to assist if the figure seems to be a (likely wounded) Guardsman.

((Should probably have brought the sword.))
Follow him round and position myself to one side, if whatever it is makes a threatening move shoot it with my hellgun.

Aim to disable not kill.

You round the corner quickly, aiming your guns at the corridor beyond.
It's an Ogryn, wearing the pale khaki fatigues of the Tamerians and an expression of murderous rage. There's a bleeding wound in her hip and a heavy cleaver in her hand, though she seems to have lost her Ripper gun. It takes you a second to realize that she's in a pain-maddened state and unlikely to listen to reason before she lets out a roar, preparing to charge.
