((Technically, I have pressed the seed matrix against my flesh. I am sure the human digestive tract can apply enough pressure to the seed to inject it. I hope so, because I'd hate to roll for "dig through remains of breakfast to find magic trinket")).

Granted, nightmares.

I wish I was a laser shark, with a laser on my frickin' head.

Hey, what the hell is wrong with being a heavy metal bagpipe player? I am offended.

We already have a scabbard, and our sword doesn't have a dark past - it has a dark present. So...

Scram, but not before looking for a non-anomalous weapon of some kind. We need to be able to defend ourselves without committing mass murder.

Ven looks slightly embarrassed.
- Don't look at me like that, it seemed like a clever thing to do. Yeah.

Anton giggles hysterically and gives the turret the finger.
-Heck yeah, acrobatics!

Calmly walk down to the other end of the room.

-Ass cactus.

Dive for the central trench! Heat the air around the missile launcher, hopefully causing the missile to detonate before it gets me.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: What's going on in your fort?
« on: March 15, 2014, 02:45:50 pm »
holy shit that's awesome.

Indeed, and that came from digging out ONE tile. Digging one tile started that mess. It ended up spreading down SEVERAL Z-levels, I think about 5 or 6, and it's still just decimating everything. Every dward except one is dead and all of my supplies are burnt to cinders. This entire forest is probably fucked.
You should try and survive with this one dwarf until migrants arrive. It's more dwarven that way. Have to warn, though - herbalism is the suckiest way to get food. A plant per ten shrubs - if you're lucky.

General Discussion / Re: The Dream Thread
« on: March 15, 2014, 02:34:56 pm »
I had a dream that I figured out the solution to a very annoying problem I have IRL right now. Sadly, I couldn't remember the solution after I woke up.

Also, anyone here a therapist? Or willing to maybe try and define the meaning of a dream?

The people on Bay12 tend to be the reason other people need therapists. They are not therapists themselves.
I always heard that people who are slightly crazy go to see therapists, people who are completely crazy become therapists.

Based on that, Bay12 should be a breeding ground for therapists.
No, no. You're thinking of the rapists. Therapists are different.
...A breeding ground for the rapists.

...

*shudder*

I should start doing that. Really should.

EDIT: Oh right I came here to post because jungle boots get. Once again, the military surplus store proves the optimal place to get footwear.

I have a really similar happy! I got myself one of the awesomest garments in the world: a Russian Naval Infantry telnyashka. It's a kind of striped undershirt worn by the Russian Navy, Airborne and the Naval Infantry (also the border guard, for some reason). The Airborne Troops (VDV) wear long telnyashkas with light blue stripes, while the naval infantry wears shorter ones with black stripes, and the border guards wear green-striped ones. The Navy has, appropriately, navy blue stripes.

The point is that this one is double-woven and with a kind of fluffy...fluff...thing on the inside, so it's thick, warm, rough on the outside, smooth on the inside, and just generally pimpin'. It can probably stop a knife! If the knife is very blunt, that is.
