Yeah, but then someone gets sad thoughts etc, resulting in a net loss. Wanderers rarely have any loot to make up for it either. My favorite wanderer so far was a demented frail old guy with anger management problems, deep hatred for women and a habit of pissing everyone off with nasty remarks. Oh and he was wearing just a cowboy hat.

Some of the wanderers actually make the game worse tho - when you get a volatile pyromaniac, for example.

I thought that the Mongols ask you to become their subject or they attack and if you accept, you drop down one rank and become their subject? At least that is how it used to work.

Become a subject and take them down from within?

Yeah well, I obviously meant robots you could build yourself, not mechanoids. We already have stuff like vacuum cleaner robots in real life, simple utility robots shouldn't be beyond possible. If there are balance issues with gaining free workforce, make them drones. So a colonist must sit at a console and control them remotely for them to work, maybe requiring a colonist per three drones or something.

We are missing stuff like flintlock muskets too. I imagine those would be a lot easier to make with improvised technology than rifled weapons with a mechanical lock.

Wonder why the main branch still doesn't have robots? Cleaning and hauling robots are such an obvious addition to the game.

"I used to have only two limbs but then I got better?" Truly medieval times were an era of wonders.

We have a new version, now with drugs. I haven't had time to play it properly, but I immediately found a bunch of Luciferium when digging my first dwarven-style base. I've noticed that there is a high chance of your initial colonists being junkies of one kind or another, too.

Oh, okay, I haven't really played with the invasion.

I presume in Sunset Invasion, Aztecs have already been hit by smallpox etc from Vikings, recovered and gained immunity to it. It would be a pretty silly War of the Worlds style invasion otherwise.

You can choose whether epidemics are scripted, historical-but-dynamic or completely random. My money is on diseases being on random if Black Death keeps jumping around.

So you can become immortal in the new DLC thingy and if you are immortal woman before menopause, you can pump out babies endlessly. I wonder if you could populate the whole world with your dynasty that way, slowly killing and usurping everyone else.

Is berserking that common anymore? I'm mostly seeing people going on binges, hiding in rooms or wandering around in stupor. Anyway, I kind of miss the old temper tantrum spirals in DF.

So what mods do you recommend? I haven't tried any yet. I'm not interested in artificial difficulties, more into variable and increased content.

It would be nice if doctor skill was portrayed in the use of medicine. A shitty doctor would waste meds on minor conditions (prescribing antibiotic treatment uselessly etc), while a really good one would use less meds even when needed.
