Aur stood his vigil, idling away the minutes. At the lack of response to his prior question he had felt he perhaps overstepped his bounds, falling into his current quiet vigil. The knight honestly didn't expect anything untoward to happen, but it never hurts to be prepared he supposes. For now, he spent his time on watch and occasionally glancing at his armor, mentally categorizing the various fixes and repairs that would eventually be needed.

Xoddahs bounced on his feet with his hands up defensively, a rusted grin splitting his face as he took in his situation. Stone to his back and sides blocking any retreat or safety, and an angry beast larger than him blocking the way forward hellbent on killing him.

"Now THIS is what I'm talking about! The tension! The risk!"

The shaman clinched his fist and his legs tensed in preparation.

"And the victory!"

Xoddahs charged the wolf and went all out, TOZing the wolf with his fist.

Probably would be wise, yeah. Someone could trade-drop her from you if they have an action they aren't particularly using.

Can with the magic of performers!

Fezz floated further forward to catch up with the others. The mage frowned at the group of people blocking their path. "We don't have time for this."

"Get out of our way."

Move to [4,7] and PURGE War Priest J with impatient ZOTS!

232
Fezz move to 5,8 and erase the War Bishop J from existence? He seems the most viable target for a purging. I could go after Manna, but since I can't crit 'em and don't double 'em (barely) doesn't seem worth it since it would take three hits to knock him out of the park.

Vuln Lizbeth!

Aurelian looked relieved. "Glad to hear you two are alright; I wish there was more I could do to make you two comfortable though. I just hope that you don't have to stay in there too long. I'm sure it was just an oversight in the decree, both of you were with us far before any of this... Stuff. And saving the world is far more important." The knight waved a gauntlet-clad hand dismissively, admittedly not too well versed on the situation himself. Politics always did mostly go over his head, the knight wasn't afraid to admit that.

"Still." The knight rested a shoulder against the wall next to the cell. "I can at least make sure you two stay safe and with friendly company until then. I hope you won't blame the Zorostrians too harshly. I'm... I'm sure this is a very difficult situation for them." The knight fell silent for a few moments, his own words sounding hollow to himself. Would he think differently if it was instead him and his brother on the other side of the bars?

"I..." Aur hesitated. "I guess this is what you meant when you said you weren't sure if your presence settled, isn't it?"

Cynbel followed Geraldine, knowing now what happens when she wanders off alone.

Didn't matter to Aur if the guard was convinced or not, he could check with the Princess himself if he had a mind to. Aurelian noticed the spellbook... But given the guard and recent events, he figured it wise to not ask for it. Aliberti will have this all settled and Chance will get his book back, of this the knight had little doubt.

The knight stopped by Chance and Maribel's cell once the guards have fully left, looking in to see if they were alright.

"You two okay? I can't get you out, but the prince will see to your release." He spoke quietly and his voice betrayed his face, sounding worried for the two.

237
"Aurelian Wolfgar, member of Prince Aliberti Yosif Zorostrian's personal guard." The knight sounded off with a snap to attention, then fell to a parade rest. "I am here on orders by Princess Rosana Zorostrian's command to act as a Royal Dungeon Guard until otherwise appointed."

"Due to recent events, I imagine the assistance will be appreciated." He spoke freely here, but still maintained composure. And to think the others complained about practicing military bearing back at training, where as now Aur was thankful to have something to fall back on without thinking.

238
Aur was shocked and silent for most of the preceding, the response (or lack of response) to his question silencing him. When Chance and Maribel were taken, he gave the two apologetic looks but otherwise said nothing, unsure of the situation. The knight looked to the princess, hearing his name, and nodded at the task with an instinctive salute and snap to attention.

"Yes, princess, I shall see to it right away." The knight moved to follow the soldiers who took Maribel and Chance, they should be headed there. Aliberti said he would get them out of the dungeon in an hour, so Aur was to ensure that nothing happened until then. Right. The knight was thankful to have a task to occupy his mind.

239
Aur was quieted down with the explanation, but it was clear the knight was unsettled. He moved next to Kerr and watched the guards back, still confused.

"So... How long were we gone this time? Hopefully not as long as last?" He tried, most likely in vain, to find a familiar face among the guards.

240
"AKK! KERR! What is going on? What happened?! Why did Akk burst into flames? Is Kerr going to be alright?" Aur was bewildered and confused.
