Morton continues to wait for Kevin, but finding everything go silent for a while becomes too nervous to just stand around, and walks towards the way down into the ship. "Hello? Anyone down there? I'd still appreciate some information, it would be most pertinent to me and my master." He tried to pass it off as if he was still waiting for whoever either is still, or used to be down there to say something instead of checking on Kevin.

Ah. Just remembered that randomly out of the blue. I can't really add to any suggestions on the theorycrafting, other than the fact that Al is playing some weird role. Illborn really hate him for some reason, yet they're decidedly neutral to us.

Want a suggestion? Add the word Shareeb in there. 'Cause as it stands, that thing is just going to start to melt once you put it on. You should get an ice steel kind of thing going on if you add steel to it, but sadly I don't know of a way to prevent the ice from melting without giving yourself control over ice, water, fire, and extrapolating from that thermodynamics.

Gotta ask, whatever happened to Mili? Random question, but I think she was brought back, wasn't she?

8105
Well, that's certainly an old theory... But remember how we saw nothing when we scanned ourselves? Remember when we scanned Oric and saw nothing too? How much you wanna bet that scanning those who have soul stars get nothing? How much you wanna bet that if we scanned Mayor, we wouldn't see anything either? I knew that scanner was a good thing to keep around.

EDIT:

When we're done with the arena, we have to scan the Mayor, to prove whether or not s/he is the Thief.

Oh, right, the arena... We should probably give actions for that.

RILTIA: Move three to the right to land on the lower platform, guard to block all hits to Slog and Ciro.
CIRO: Cast the float spell on Al so he can cross the upper gap, move three spaces to the right so we can ranged attack the lower Met next turn, Guard if possible after that.
Al: When floaty, cross three spaces to the right and stay floating thanks to floaty spell, cast Elemental Bulwark and Guard if possible for maximum Protection!
SLOG: Move three spaces to the right so you can also hit the Met next turn, Guard.

Anyone notice that the spellbook has three slots, one red, two blank? Are the other two green, or will clicking one remove the red from the first? Because if they're green without removing the red from the first, they augment the first spell, if not then they're just separate spells. We should experiment with this later.

EDIT MK II(Last Edit, I swear): Just remembered actually, can't we just restore our previous stats thanks to the save slot? Why are we so focused on getting a healer for the arena? I understand elsewhere, but for here we can just restore our save and get our health and stuff back. Although it raises the question as to what happens if we restore a save when other party members weren't present to also cast their save into it, as it just contains ours and not Slog's or Al's. Will it make them go away? Or will it just not affect them?

Hm... I will say this though. What was Sparky McGee trying to say when she mentioned that just holding a soul star did something to people. Mayor has been holding onto the Illborn Exchange for quite a while... And is all white and weird. Cherish however is now holding onto two of them at the same time, neither of which belong to her. I'm a little worried as to what this means.

8107
Er... Isn't the grey one Riltia's? How did you think we found her by focusing on the grey soul star when we went oversoul?

8108
Chink, they're going to attack next turn, I think hunkering down and not dying would be the best idea for now.

Morton was about to speak, but noticing the 'something's wrong' signal from Kevin he nodded with a worried look on his face. Before Kevin headed inside, Morton offered the jester skeleton his brass, exceedingly sharp fire poker if he wished it. Whether Kevin accepted it or not, Morton will fidget nervously on the deck as he waited.

[Innsmothe, had an idea for extra cruelty that might be up your alley. Know how you're quite virulent? I bet you can get some of those nasty diseases on that blade of yours so even if you just cut someone, double dose of necrotic black paste and horrible diseases and viruses. Just poke a pustule or two out with it from your body, that should do the trick.]

Morton looks around at the voice. "Hello? Where are you?" He walks on the deck of the ship. "Are you down below? I'd like to inquire as to the availability of this ship for transportational purposes. My master is seeking a ship to take him to a location I assume to be far, and I was curious as to if this wonderful ship and its owner would comply. If you could give me an estimate of prices, I would be most appreciative."

I don't know, which is why I agree the theory is shaky. For all I know, the "you feel a powerful presence" was the intermediate stage, or there isn't one. But I think its more likely than turning into a vampire, or a joke.

I doubt its because of our wounds as well, either we'd already be coughing blood all the time with constant pain instead of a sharp pain that then goes away. We were dead when we were bitten, and it was so long ago that I think we would of seen signs way before then. But even I admit that has more grounding than "its Megaman" or "its the dungeon withdrawal effect."

EDIT: Maybe its overdue effects of our abuse of the saving mechanic to get bonus health and mana?

8112
Beats me, but wasn't it stated that we felt a powerful presence in this arena when we arrived? If we could just feel his presence when he was away, perhaps being closer to him wouldn't be as good. I mean, we didn't even feel such a thing when we were by Oric himself, yet we do here and now when we're by Megaman. As for why now and not later, I can't rightly say either, it may not be him.

But it is important, that much I know, which is why I'm trying to figure it out. You don't just randomly get a stabbing chest pain in the heart and cough blood and forget about it, that doesn't mean good things.

Alec turned the TV off, deciding that perhaps watching the news was a mistake. He was hoping for there to be some cheerful news on, but he's not sure why he thought there would be. The world's changed, and not for the better. Seeing he only has an hour left, he finishes his cigaret and disposes of it, then heads outside the squad room.

Alec then tries to get his bearings and find the Gym, or gym-like equivalent this place would have within the hour, asking for directions if needed. Which he would probably need, he admits to himself. Alec ponders the possibility of this place having a map.

Blue Bomber*: Jump gap and slide kick the bottom Metalax
Ciro:  Back up two and fire Clot Cutter at bottom
Slog:  Frizz the bottom
Riltia:  Move one right and two down, hope to land safely on feet.  Tank for the hurt squishies.
Al:  Advance along top, preparing to flying leap across.**

*I'm assuming we can suggest for him.  Disregard if no.

**I'm aware it's a four step gap with a move of three.  I hope momentum will let him grab the ledge.

I'm +1'ing this, although we won't be able to control Megaman. If he was in our party, he'd be in the passive slot, thus not a controllable.

8115
Probably. But perhaps it has more to do with Megaman being there than the actual arena. Perhaps not though, I don't really know. I'm just trying to think of why Ciro would be coughing blood and having stabbing chest pains.
