General Discussion / Re: Things that made you sad today thread.

I'm tired of this. Of living in fear. Of living in silence.
I just want it all to end (and no, before you panic, not that way).
I already panicked as a defensive measure.

Being known as the most unfeeling human being by all the people I know IRL, I can assure that people usually feel better for knowing someone trusts them, tough you probably should think trough before telling him that, since he will feel way better than you about that, and you might trust him less after.
You already got similar-minded(=insane) people on this forum, and I think bay12 is very safe, so you can probably use this forum as a safe heaven and try to search for people around here, and working your way up on social networks(Those, tough, aren't very safe or welcoming.)

Just my two cents tough, do whatever you feel comfortable doing...

Yeah, everyone being honest would mean that the anarchy would work, and anarchy working means there's no high tier products.
Games are Very high tier...
Communism would be awesome if everyone was honest. Capitalism too, but communist can make the most out of it.
Anyway, I just watched CPG Grey video "Humans Need Not Apply",and I got happy in that a system with higher tech work better with communism, automation makes capitalism start breaking down as huge chunks of population get unemployed and everyone goes bankrupt.
And now I'm terrified of the necessary "everyone goes bankrupt" phase of this change, since I would hate to be part of it.

Besides all those damn elves in peace with nature here...

How is the sanity of the OP doing?

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: Naming conventions
« on: April 06, 2015, 08:35:58 am »
I only give custom professions to my dwarves, and only for those in the military. Since I conscript all the men(and some of the women) naming them can get pretty difficult... I once had a full army of 147 dwarves, each and every of them named after something I found in their z-screen, plus their weapon:
Cruel Axedwarf
Might Axedwarf
Weak Axedwarf
Calm Axedwarf
...
Angry Speardwarf
Peaceful Speardwarf
Troubling Speardwarf
Lovely Speardwarf
Merciful Speardwarf
...
Stylish Swordsdwarf
Hasty Swordsdwarf
Depressed Swordsdwarf
Lustful Swordsdwarf
Stressful Swordsdwarf
...
Greedy Hammerdwarf
Stubborn Hammerdwarf
Careless Hammerdwarf
Polite Hammerdwarf
Brave Hammerdwarf
...
Friendly Macedwarf
Modest Macedwarf
Curious Macedwarf
Intolerant Macedwarf
Perfectionist Macedwarf

Those are some of the ones I remember...

It's probably a bad thing that I would have slit my wrist a minute ago if it wouldn't cause inconvenience to others.

Always remember tough, we here would be very inconvenienced by not having your presence here, so no wrist slitting until we permit you to.

Oh, time to complain on sleeping problems? Let me in!

I only sleep once every two days. It's really cool to be honest, because I don't feel tired on the day I stay awake the night, and don't oversleep the next day either, so it's kind of useful.
Recently my father forced me to go to a medic who gave me some medications for hormonal control, which put me to sleep 10 hours every day, so I promptly stored them after the first week and never touched them again.

I really can't operate if I don't sleep more than 8-9 hours.

I'll die early then?
Your avatar makes me kind of unsettled by thinking about it.

I must ask: does Jesus in any way implicate that homosexuals or homosexual activities are bad, and if so, where?

Jesus doesn't adds anything to the moral code the bible stands for, but the rest of the greek scriptures go like:
Romans 1:26,27 ► "That is why God gave them over to uncontrolled sexual passion, for their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature; likewise also the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full penalty, which was due for their error."

EDIT: Ops, ninja'd.

Anyway, Jesus probably was well versed on the mosaic law.

Today was just not a good day. Not as bad as some, but bad enough.

And I still can't breathe deeply without acute chest pain (which I'm almost certain is muscular, fortunately) and my joints still hate me and today has been another of those days where I don't know why I have a body / don't feel like I belong in my body.

Oh yeah and technology's not bein super friendly either.
Within the last season I felt despair after experiencing the same symptoms you are having.
Seriously, every time I took a deep breath or laughed it felt like someone was driving a spear trough my chest, it was in a small point and stop immediately, but id I breathed deeply again it came and threw me to the ground again.
I went to the doctor and found out that was pneumonia, which, considering I have something chronic respiratory problems, was very lethal, so I got to stay in the hospital a week and keep taking some vaccines for a month and a few weeks. The vaccines hurt as hell.

Go check a doctor, or orange wizard will have to use his dark arts once again.

My grandmother had an heart attack or something like that, and my mother ended up being the one who will take care of her ( she can't speak nor move the left side of her body now) but she is only my grandma by name(and blood), she didn't raised my mother and we saw her once every three years or so. Now she is lying on my bed and I must sleep in the couch , tough something gave an allergy and I can't sleep there without itches all over my body, I have been awake for four days already, which is kind of okay, since I have a disturb and can keep going just fine for days without sleep, but it's getting tiring.
I'm afraid/unssetled by old people(gerontophobia?) And having to carry her around the house , giving bath and changing diapers have been well over my threshold, this is a way of torture for me. I have warned my father that she's not my responsibility, and that if this keeps on I'll have to leave home, and I'm already searching for cheap renting along with a friend.
This is my sad, posting this won't change anything but since I'm rather unwilling to speak of this matter with anyone in the real world, I feel better for letting of the steam here...

Please, man. People are defined by much more than what's in their pants.
Have this gotten to the OOCQ yet? I'm doing it.

All those nether/goblin/whatever caps make support for them to keep standing.

What Would Urist Do if he posted on the wrong thread?
