Totally XP void dwarves don't train on schedule. Turn it off, as well as all of their other jobs and they'll go do some individual training. Once they're a novice they will go to training.
All my farmers without even dabbling skill are going diligently to the barracks and training with their assigned weapons. What you said isn't the rule. Maybe the exception?

Croc got killed by the least experienced, lucky strike with a pike.
Your dwarves can use pikes?

The name of the bigger enter key, by the left of the arrow keys on our beloved qwerty keyboard, is return.
The name of the other enter key, the one near the numpad is the true enter key.
Return was used for other stuff back when it was created, just like the SysReq key, which don't have any use now...

Demons may or may not have the [FIREIMMUNE_SUPER] tag required for dragonfire immunity, IIRC.
Is that random?
I never fought against many at once... I prefer to set up some bridges and cats to take one out of the rest of the group...

I think you should just embark on a glacier with a path from land, and wage war against every creature on existence...

apparently demons are immune to dragon fire, so I'm gonna build dragon powered flamethrower to decorate the top of my fort.
Are they? I thought the only true power came from dragon fire, the power no one could stop.

By exception of any poorly trained shield user, that is.

The following threads speak about similar ideas:

This was so polite that even I got hurt.

Well, I moved the artifact now, and ran into a rather weird problem... The tile which the weapon was on turned into a wall when I found it in adventure mode this time... This is starting to get messed up.

Edit: Sorry, it didn't turn into a wall at all, but rather got moved down four Z-levels, INTO a wall.
I thought only ghost could share tiles with walls...

Well, I marked the site as a lair, and I'm also using drawbridges, which should prevent items from spreading, from what I've heard? My minecarts don't seem to move, so yeah... Or do items underground always move around randomly?
Nope, the drawbridges up should be enough to keep everything in place, did you locked the caverns too? If the item is pathable from the edge of the map (trough the caverns) it can be scattered, but I don't think that is the case, anyone with similar issues?

I've created a fort with an interesting artifact, solely for the purpose of exploring it in adventure mode. The problem is that the artifact disappears when I enter adventure mode. Does anyone know a fix for this?

The save is available here: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=8490
It probably didn't. Items from fortress mode scatter around when you abandon the fortress, so you will have a hard time going around the caves searching trough piles of trash...

I've played a lot of Dwarf Fortress over the years but I've taken a break for about six months. I downloaded it and other tools and have once again reminded myself why I love this game. The thing is I was playing for about 16 hours before I remembered I had gotten a new keyboard for Christmas. It looks like this.

It was not slowing me down.
I've either played this game too much or just enough.
It's because you are already a high master fortresser, thus don't need sight to be able to make stuff(just like the dorfs).

Lock them into a room untill they decide to marry, remember dwarves need alchool and food to survive, also if they stay for too long in the room drop clothes in to make sure they remain sane.
Well, with all that booze they have been drinking, it is only expected for them to drop their clothes.

Also, everything I've read about muscles and gender says that females develop lower body muscles faster.
It's an outdated study which has been proven to be wrong that spread this belief before the second millennium...
anyway, you are right about pivoting, but it's an way of using weight, and don't have much to do with musculature.

Some amount of roofing will be required for placing Beds, Tables and Chairs beneath.  The most materially efficient roof to build is a Bridge.
Yeah, so important that we all missed!
