one of my cats dodged a forgotten beast for about a week, giving me enough time to evacuate everyone. the worst part was that the cat somehow survived his encounter with no injuries.

i've ran into the opposite problem.

i'm having a foodsplosion due to having simultaneous dog farms, grizzly farms, lion farms, pig farms, ruthurer farms, GCS farms, cave croc farms and a giant eagle farm at the same time.

i'm getting rid of the pigs soon.

i'm probably not going to build a colosseum, but i have four forgotten beasts trapped in separate pits.

i usually just kill gobs for exp, but i'm also thinking of pitting goblin super soldiers into pits with forgotten beasts.

unfortunately, the beasts i collected are fairly weak and would probably not survive more than two super soldiers

use fortification marksdwarves. they don't kill quickly, but anything that feel pain will die to them with minimal risk.

I was really annoyed when this happened because I started that fire for the sole purpose of clear cutting. also I used a fucking dragon.

apparently trees have FIRE IMMUNE SUPER on them because even candy would melt at that temperature.

i think that wall is made of at least three separate types of rocks. I might replace the walls with lead or gold later.

if a trapavoid creature is on a cage trap and a web slinger throws webs at it, it WILL not catch the trapavoid creature.

webbed cage traps only work when a trapavoid creature walks onto a cage trap with a web on it.


i had a forgotten blob on a cage trap with a GCS spraying it with webs, but nothing happened because it moved onto the cage trap before it was sprayed. once it moved onto the next tile (which was also a webbed trap), it was caught immediately.

i don't know where this is specified in the wiki, if it's there, then i'm sorry for missing it.

pretty sure it was discussed in the wagon thread.

as for mood theory, moods are capable of creating picks out of bone and hammers out of shells, both objects that normally require metal.

i wouldn't put it below dwarves to create a non metal anvil from a mood.

i'm up to three captured beasts already. a worm with deadly dust, a lizard with deadly blood and a blob of mud with deadly spittle.

still in the process of transferring the deadly blob though. haven't caught any sufficiently devastating beasts yet.
