Tethra blinked. He raised a finger and then lowered it again. He spent a few moments looking perturbed, crossing his arms before finally clapped his hands together. "I'll be honest, I don't really know how to respond to that. But I'm sure we can unpack it later. Wanna train?"

2
Tethra sighed as they got back, stretching once again. After a moment he turned to Alina. "So what do people who don't fight in the arena even do for work if there's this much infrastructure just for this one place?"

Tethra had quickly stopped what he was doing at the chiming of the bell, and with Alina looking at him like that, he got the message pretty quick as he went along with her to get their next assignment. He simply nodded in response to the slavemaster. Next fight would likely be a step up if their opponents had a rep like the name implied.

8
Tethra simply shrugged. If she wanted to tell him she'd have said so. Instead he went over to a dummy, looked it up and down for a second, and then decided he probably was less likely to break the obstacle course and so went to practice on that.

9
Tethra followed after her, a little surprised that they apparently were allowed to just wander around unimpeded. Of course, he didn't see many ways out to begin with so that likely had something to do with it. "Were you looking for someone in the crowd? You didn't exactly look like the image of a triumphant gladiator. Not that I imagine any of us did..."

10
Tethra let out a breath as their enemies finally fell. With a practiced twirl, more a habit from his days when he practiced HEMA for sport, he returned his sword to his sheath. He didn't spare the crowd much of a glance, checking on the others and lingering on Alina's expression. When they were once again in a semblance of privacy, he waited until the others were a bit further away to address their less than willing guide. "How long have you been doing this? I assume this isn't your first fight given your state when we met."

He votes we train.

There was something about the dismissal of the guard that really pissed Tethra off. His skin shifting a little as he let out a quiet growl. He quickly cuts it off as he goes to follow, checking his chains to ensure he wouldn't have any "accidents". When that was done he satisfied himself with imagining tearing those spines from the other man's back and impaling him with them.
