Name: Ragnar Lothbrok/Brynhildr
Age: 17
Gender:Male/Female
Appearance: A young man with a very fit build, his body covered in muscle. He’s clean shaven and his hair is well kempt, being styled professionally. He has a fondness for suits as they work well on both of his forms and conceals his personal armor nearly perfectly. Brynhildr makes Ragnar look weak, standing over 6 feet tall and looking as though she could break any olympic record without help. Her hair is short and blonde, much like Ragnar’s. Unlike Ragnar, her pale skin is covered in scars from, to use a modern term, fucking shit up. She tends to be covered up by a suit of armor with a viking aesthetic. Yes, everything Brynhildr owns has that aesthetic. It’s her thing. When Ragnar transforms, he raises his arms to the air, his nanomachines quickly forming Brynhildr's weapons as his skin becomes scarred and pales. His hair retracts and his muscles become more lithe and gracefull. Soon most of his body is covered in armor, which blocks the growing of his "feminine wiles". Soon after Brynhildr stands ready to fight, a mighty war cry exiting her lips.
Personality: One may think that being raised as a science experiment for many years of your life, where you undergo strange surgeries and creepy magical rituals (don't ask about the "paint"), would cause you to be a bit on the unstable side. Well, that's mostly the case when you're being experimented on by the "screw basic human decency we have money" crowd. Ragnar, partly because he's the son of the owner and partly because the Lodbrok company didn't get where they are by selling things that turn people into psychos, is mostly normal. His father is a little cold but his mother loves him unconditionally, which is part of the reason he's been so eager to go out and save people. He can be a bit of a show off, but he has a good heart.
Background: So, assassin’s creed had some things right. Specifically, there is some ways to access genetic memory if you’re of a legendary bloodline. The Lodbrok company spent years studying it in secret and recently made a breakthrough. Specifically, they brought out an ancestor’s memories and abilities in the son of the owner with the help of magic. The downside is that they can’t really use it to reduce training times because it still takes a pretty long time, also it’s expensive… oh, and it requires turning into said ancestor thanks to runic magic. Since the Lodbrok Company didn’t want to waste the investment they decided that they should use Ragnar, the previously mentioned son of Mr. Lothbrok, to gather data on their personal infantry armor designs by fighting the Zoanthropes.
It was during a "test run" as they call it in the company that Ragnar, as Brynhildr, met Juliet. They had both apparently targeted the same Zoanthrope, a rather large one which of course meant it was more powerful. Together they beat it and, after an amusing interaction where Juliet (Everything Girl at the time) found out about the whole changing genders thing, Ragnar invited her to a later meeting over coffee. It was there that the two would team up on the condition that Juliet come in to get a proper costume. (Brynhildr would never abide clashing costumes.) Truth be told, Ragnar has been more excited to work ever since because of it.
Advantage: Using the latest in nanomachine technology the Lodbrok company has made major advancements in personal infantry armor, and hope to reach the point where tanks are totally taken out of use. Until then there is Fafnir’s Coat, a network of self replicating nanomachines that automatically form to protect and arm the one equipped with them. In theory they are able to form any weapon and armor possible, but Brynhildr prefers they take the form of viking armor with a round shield and spear.
Stats: Describe your character's abilities. These are the sum total of their abilities after all factors; for example, if you're not very strong, but you've got a miniature mech that you ride around and crush things in with overpowering strength, you've got a high melee stat. 14 points to be assigned at the start.
Melee: 3 Despite the stories not really describing her fighting ability, Brynhildr pretty much has already mastered the spear. This hasn’t changed after thousands of years. The loss of her items is also mitigated by the armor bumping her strength back up to superhuman levels.
Ranged: 4 While she can throw things like a champ, some asshole stole her ring and girdle. She compensates with her Nanomachines, attaining a degree of accuracy that's acceptable. Of course, the real beauty of using it to pull in enemies in like some kind of... Pathboar.
Mobility: 0 Brynhildr never runs. Which causes some slight problems when her enemies do.
Defense: 5 Brynhildr isn’t actually any tougher than the average human. However, Fafnir’s coat is almost unrivaled in its ability to analyse incoming attacks and shape itself to minimise damage to the user. It’s especially good at guarding against missiles as modern warfare makes more use of them.
Super: 2
Skills: Active or passive effects that your character uses, beyond normal combat abilities. You get four to start, and more after certain points.
Bleed them dry 3: Brynhildr makes the blade of her spear jagged as she stabs an enemy repeatedly, causing them to bleed profusely.
Chain Yanker 5: Brynhildr forces an enemy to fight her, by stabbing them with her spear on a chain and then dragging them to her.
Stay here 6: Brynhildr stabs an enemy in the foot, pinning them to the ground with nanomachines and making it hard to move. It takes some time to build them back up though, reducing her Melee attack.
Serpent Strike 4: Brynhildr strikes out with a distracting blow before stabbing her spear into them quickly while they try to block. Dodging doesn’t help either as she just stabs them while they’re moving but at least it’s not likely to be something entirely vital.
Supers: Describe your supers here, if any. These are very powerful versions of Skills, often capable of changing the tide of battle.
Perfect Strike: Brynhildr scores the perfect strike on an opponent missing protections in a way that a less skilled person would call luck, her spear going through whatever would be the most inconvenient thing for it and at the very least vastly weakening it.
Why, it's the foremost company in the creation and supply of advanced infantry armors. Currently due to limitations of production the more advanced armors have been relegated to more prestigious peoples and their body guards. The most purchased of the Ludbrok company's armors however is the Valkryie model of personal infantry armor. It has inbuilt air compressors, servos, and pistons which magnify the strength of the user many times, allowing for ease in stopping threats. Of course, that doesn't mean the armor is fragile by any means. Using the most advanced materials on the market (And several that only the Ludbrok Company has access to) the armor is able to easily block bullets without heavy deformation in calibers up to .45.
Where did the company start though you may ask.
