Full Name (print): Dominicus Helsing. I prefer people call me Dom.
I am a...: Metahuman. My father as much as I dislike his ideals taught me to harness Thuamic energy to, and I quote, "fight back against those [redacted] demons the way God intended".
My nature is: My father taught me from a young age how to harness Thaumic powers for use with more "traditional" human weaponry such as guns. He also tried teaching me his rather disgusting and wrong opinions on Awakened, likening Dimensional Beings to the monsters of classical myth (kind of true but they're still people), Demi-humans to abominations borne of Race traitors with a similar label for Metahumans who don't try to drive Awakened out. As such, my powers come out to magics to limit or negate supernatural durability as well as increase my reaction times and strength well above the limit of other humans.
I want to become a student at Eventide because...: Let me tell you a story that's stuck with me. When I was ten my dad brought me to a meeting of the "Children of Van Helsing". As you may be able to tell, they were a group of people that were hateful and small minded. As I listened and watched I noticed something, all of them looked and sounded the same. At my age I thought that was just wrong, aren't people supposed to be unique so that we could tell them apart? That was about the time that I learned that I didn't want to be like my dad. In essence, I want to learn more about the Awakened and myself so I can peruse a career to drive out the ignorance of people like my father and his ilk and subsequently protect the innocent people his ideals harm. I don't want people to live in the shadow of the shameful fear people like him and bring light to the world. Also my father would hate it if I went here so that's a big plus.
Appearance: Dominicus isn't especially large in any sense of the word. He's kind of tall, standing at 5' 11' and he's fairly muscled but not so much that he looks ripped. He's tanned, a farmers tan in fact, and his hair is brown. His eyes share a similar coloration. His face looks quite stern, with a "manly" amount of stubble covering it. He tends to wear a black leather duster, and black telescope style cowboy hat with a pinched crown. In addition, he typically wears a white button down cotton shirt with black jeans. He finishes his look with black cowboy boots.
Extra notes: Don't touch my bags please. I know they're full of weapons but I'm going to leave them in my room unless I'm given proper leave to use them. I refuse to leave my knife though, it's a bitch to get a cold iron knife that works and getting one in the style of a Bowie is nearly impossible.
