Does using dust in a non-combative way still use up an attack?

Also, Ian use a certain type of dust to harden potatoes for use as grenade shells. So like, maybe an earth dust type thing?

On closer inspection one can see that Minty has little fangs.

Ian laughs.
"Don't worry, The boss is nice."

"Yeah, that's the boss for you. She just dominates the room. And everything else. And that was before she got proper training as a huntress. I can only imagine her power now. Incredible isn't it?"
Ian gestures to the child in Jet's arms.
"And that's Minty. She's the sweetest little girl in the world, loves chocolate as well."

Ian immediately notices Jet as he looks over the arriving teachers. He taps on Gale's shoulder and points to the bear faunus in question.
"Remember when I was talking about my old boss?"

Jet smiles at the Professor as she shakes their hand.
"I assure you, that most of them were exaggerated. Except the one where I destroyed a Paladin by myself. But that was mostly luck."
