Race: Bond-Hearts. A race who bonds with other races native to their planet. They under go two unique changes when their partner dies and they become adults. The first is they develop a certain love for what killed their bond-mate that borders on self-destructive. The second is they take on prominent features of their bond-mate's species, such as aquatic bond-mates giving their bond-heart aquatic features. Indigo's bondmate was a variety of giant flying lizard that can breath fire. Indigo has since gained a scaly red hide on parts of her body, claws, clawed digitrade feet, and the ability to sip small amounts of what we would compare to Wildfire.
Traits: Positively axe crazy and tough enough to back it up. A neat master of inducing fear and fighting in close range combat.

All Bond-Hearts until bonded resemble what one would call a 'little grey man' Once they bond they metamorphose into a form similar to their bond-mate with bipedal leanings toward their old form. And finally when the bond-mate dies they change towards a form somewhere between an optomised form for dealing with what killed the bond-mate and... well... their bond-mate.
They resemble the stereotypical little gray man due to their bond heart, the organ the allows them to sense the 'bond-web' and kick starts their amazing metamorphosis.
