Einsteinian Roulette / Re: Einsteinian Roulette OOC
« on: November 12, 2014, 11:21:16 am »
I begin to feel that Piecewise might be tooling up for an ultimate game of DnD. Ultimate magic system - check, ultimate bestiary - check, ultimate character attributes/damage system - check (currently tested in Limbo, afaik), ultimate poisoning/alchemy/crafting system - check...
At this point, it only needs what - new ultimate dungeon/quest generating system? Ultimate NPC creator? Ultimate weapon/equipment system?
And then all such a game would inevitably need suitably cunning, outstandingly smart and simply epic players. People who could lead their characters through hell and high water, survive and out-think Piecewise at his worst, make living (sometimes undead) legends out of their characters. Characters that survived ten missions of Einsteinian Roulette...
It all makes sense now.
Welp, let's hope you survive the assassins that PW must send now.

That looks useful. Also, please put the images in a spoiler. They really mess around with viewing on a phone.

Kyle keeps the pressure on for a few seconds before twirling his sword in a circle to disarm the golem. Should the be successful he attacks with a crucks blow to the leg to bring the golem down.

Well that was rude. You won't just go around smashing bits of people's psyches.

Kyle tries to figure out if he knows the liquid.

*raises Eyebrow* Oh? Please tell~ I may have sen get involved~~
That would ruin the surprise but... Sanguine isn't the only necromancer to hire mercs. ;D

In case anyone is curious, I have a boss level spell book for a drop for my Sanguine bit and a mook tier one that only provides a sufficient amount of whimsy compared to the high grade one.

So I've recently been gaining an interest in more flavorful, RP-centric games, like Isle of the Young Gods, Runners of Hyperion, and what Reclaim a Wizard's Tower! seems to be shaping up as.

Anyone have any advice on running such a thing? Opinions on the form/style in general? If you're not a fan or just never got into them, what keeps you out?
I personally haven't been in one of those, most likely because if there's over one page I just skip over it. As I have my settings on 50 PpP it's a good rule of thumb.

Anyways, I think a tip you should take is letting the players make up things. But make sure you moderate it to fit with what you have planned. For example, if they roll a knowledge check they should be able to state a fact, if it's wrong, it's wrong, but if it's right then it's right. Again, moderation is needed for that. But over all that should let players get more invested in the world. Also, being able to make up their class/flavor their class how they want also helps.

Graffiti the rain with my mark, a railroad track with two hokey sticks in front of it.

I'll assume you mean graffiti the train, though graffiying the rain would be quite impressive, even more so since it isn't raining.

Also, a Fun Fact especially relevant to Yourmaster: The Bangladesh police force uses the variety of weaponry you'd expect from law enforcement, though their arsenal also includes the AK47, H&K G3 Rifles and even Light/Medium Machine Guns.

The first police arriving probably won't be carrying more than handguns, pepper spray, batons and maybe a shotgun in the truck. But I'd like everyone to know that yes, the Bangladesh Police are able to come after you with assault rifles and machine guns.
Darn, my ruse was seen.

Kyle goes to explore the other rooms.

Kyle shrugs and goes to read it.
